Album Description:
It's hard to beat the natural beauty and wonders of nature. The funny thing is it's around us everywhere we look and we take it for granted unfortunately. To capture some of its beauty and share it with others is very fulfilling for me. enjoy-

I like your flowers. Nice! As far as the pictures #2 and #3 that you were asking about, unfotunately, i don't know what the flower is called. But I can tell you where I found it. It's in the botanical gardens in Pasadena, California. The gardens are called Huntington Library. If you look it up online, you might be able to find the flower. Olga

Hello again. I have just enjoyed this in slideshow a couple times too. Great photos. I love the pavonia, so very interesting. Never seen that one before. The double hibiscus is beautiful. I too loved that solitary tree. And those red poppy field are so wonderful. I have some in my flowers but would love a field of wildflowers. What you call an orchid cactus, I know as a Christmas cactus. Very lovely. The color of one my mom had for many years. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my Heavenly Skies album also. Dynna in MI.

Dragon - I have only lived in SEG for a little over a year, and I live at least 6 hours South East of Atlanta. I'm less than a hour from the Atlantic coast and 2 hours North of Florida ! You know more about this area than I do, sorry ! Where are you orginally from ? I'm from Niagara Falls, NY and I DON'T love it here. Too hot, too buggy, no snow, no culture, no jobs - phooey !! - Pat

Hello! Thanks for your nice messages in our guestbook! We understand that you miss Phoenix!!! We miss Tucson...! We love nature pictures as in your beautiful Mother Nature album! We found there your beautiful orchid cactus with the wonderful bloom! What a special flower, the pavonia! Never seen before! We like the rocks from Santa Fe, the view at Tallulan Gorge, the cute turtles! The duck is not ugly at all: beautiful black waterbird, nice reflections in the water! Fantastic picture: the raincatcher! We also had a look at your nice family and friends albums; you look very young, we could be your grand parents :-))) ! George - The 'secret' to African violets, as far as I can tell, is to keep them in plastic pots that seem WAY too small *the rule is the pot should be 1/3 the diameter of the plant* and don't over-water. My mother raised them, and it was my 'duty' after she died to keep her collection alive. I failed, but now I have my own ! Happy New Year ! - Pat

Thank you for viewing and commenting on my fractal album which was featured yesterday. There are many fractal programs available. You can do a search for fractal generators or fractal software and find many that are free. I use Ultra Fractal, Apophysis, Fractal Explorer and several others. Hope you give them a try. This is a lovely album and I love all the flowers. Excellent photos. Marion

Hello George, Boy, have I enjoyed this album! You're right that many times we miss the small things around us. You've certainly done a wonderful job of capturing them, though. I really enjoyed your shot of "Peek-a boo". A really great shot. I've never seen a Pavonia before, and like you, I'm glad you included it. It's marvelous. I also enjoyed your rainbows and orchid in the kitchen. Really colorful blooms. Not to forget about your marvelous ugly duck! A real wonder of nature. Now I'd better not get so carried away that I forget to thank you for the kind words in my guestbook. They're very much appreciated. When I finish answering my entries, I'll be back to view more of your albums. Until then, keep shooting and have a wonderful summer. Best wishes from Sharon in Virginia

Hey George. You are a very prolific photographer so it will take a while to get thru all of your albums. This one is the 1st I've looked at and I am certain that the ONLY place you could get this kind of talent is from Our Heavenly Father! Your sensitivity to His creations is supurb!! And, your skill with the lens is masterful! I really liked the pre-statement on this album. I am just a guilty as anyone about taking God's handiwork for granted. Not always but when I forget to slow down and take a look around me, it does happen. As I get older it seems to be much more important to search out His artistry! Thank you so very much George for reminding me and for sharing your talent. May the Good Lord continue to be with and bless you and yours!!! Affectionately, Terry(Sherwood,OR) trbcowboy@msn.com

Hi, I especially like your pavonia sillouette. I have always been attracted to beautiful forms created in sillouete. Your shot is enhanced by the shadows on the wall as well. Very nice, indeed. Thanks for your comments on my catacomb album. It is a remarkable place, with miles of such tunnels under the city. Think of all the stories through the ages! Best wishes, Noreen

Hi. I just ran across you message about using pictures from Webshots for puzzles. Don't remember if I answered you or not. I use a puzzle program from Dgray.com called Jigsaws Galore. It is great. And easy to do. My sister and I always have a puzzle going. Also, Puzzle Master has a program that is similar to Jigsaws Galore. Both are good. Puzzle Master you can buy in the stores. I havent seen any lately, tho. Target/Walmart. If I can be of any further help, let me know. Sorry it took so long to answer, but I am clueless on how this all works.
