Jane, Imagine my shock when I found about 10 guestbook messages when I checked my e-mail this morning! I don't often receive comments about my photos and wondered what was going on. I guess being featured is what bumps up the total views. (I noticed that one of your albums was featured on 12-19-02.)There have been more than 1,100 views of the album and more than 100 downloads today. We'll get another chance to photograph a lunar eclipse on Oct. 28, 2004. It should be seen from parts of North America. I hope it includes the great North West for you. There will also be one on May 4, 2004 but we won't be able to see it. I enjoyed viewing the Twilight Blossoms album and assume that Night Rose (#10) is your latest addition. Did you bring it to life with Paint Shop Pro? It's beautiful. Thanks for your kind comments. Richard

Jane!!!Hello from Kimbolton,N.Z.Well!What a little cracker you are!I have just enjoyed these photos so much tonight.Your technique brings so much individual depth and character to each bloom Jane.Your photos are just magical and I felt as though I could just put my hand out and touch your flowers!Wonderful job!Well done! What amazes me even more is that we live so far away from each other and we have our blooms at almost opposite times and yet the miracle is we pretty much grow the same things!Isn't that just sooo amazing!Isn't the world and nature just awe inspiring? Jane is your featured rose "Betty Boop"?I guess that is a pretty silly question really because they market the same roses with different names in different countries.I am patiently waiting for my roses to get into their serious 1st blooming.A new one for me this year is "Heart Throb" in England they call it "Paul Shirvall" I don't know what it would be called in the U.S.A but it is stated that it is really photogenic-when it blooms I shall put it into one of my albums so you can see it.It is meant to have a really lovely perfume too but will wait and see as perfumes seem to vary with their appeal to each individual.Jane thankyou so much for giving me such an interesting and enjoyable time viewing your great shots-Take good care - see you soon !Best wishes -Lynne

Thank you for your kindly words to my problem with camera. I bought the used camera of the same model as broken with $220 yesterday. Moreover, the trouble was fixed by myself. Beautiful autumnal leaves just started now in the Tokyo area. I want to take the photograph and make an album.Thank you again. Kei

Hi Jane!! Another creative album with flowers in all their beauty!! The campanulas are really adorable! At times I take shots during the day with my wife's black shawl in the background! It gives the same effect. Try it sometimes. You'll be surprised at the results! Regards. Samad

Hi Jane! Glamorous Glad is so beautiful. It is so much fun to see your beautiful flowers at night or "Twilight.&q uot; Was Petie or Rod holding a light for you behind the flower? You are such a creative lady!!! Our burning bush is starting to turn red and the dogwood trees are turning now, so there is certainly a touch of autumn in the air here. Have a lovely Oregon Valley Day!! Hugs! Sharon

Hey, Ms. Jane! I am really proud of you that you are using all those accessories you bought for that camera. These night photos are just great; it's a shame that us old folks can't stay up past dark!!! I wondered how long it would take you to find my new album and told Sharon to keep quiet. Yes, that's me in the Gazebo with the STL Cardinals hat on that Sharon makes me wear sometimes. :-)))) Sharon is on one of the trails with the coneflowers and said I could leave her there as long as she was far enough away that she could bearly be seen. We just about wore ourselves out that day, but we need to get in shape for Yellowstone! The mosquitoes just about carried me away. The nice lady with the little boy on the gravel bar at the Meramec River loaned us some bug spray to use when we started on that River Trail or I would be one BIG MOSQUITO BITE. Thanks again for the comments. I'm glad you enjoyed our little hike. Bob

Hey Jane! You and that great camera of yours are doing a super job with these night photos!!! Sharon is getting all worked up because you can use the tripod and she doesn't have the patience to put up with one. LOL I bet if she ever starts using one, she'll like it!!!! I think I have some of the same settings on my camera and flash as you do, but I'll have to get the manual out and refresh my old memory. Of course, we old folks go to bed a lot earlier than you young people. Have a great evening, but don't scare the neighbors!!!! Bob

Each one you add is better than the last one! Great work! I'm like Sharon, I hate using a tripod, but know I need to get more comfortable with it! I did use it for some shots of the Lunar Eclipse last month. I took some first without the tripod, and then some with it, and the difference was amazing...I was using the twilight + setting on my camera, and it said to use a tripod. (Guess they were right...) I always have to see for myself, though! Are you taking these shots in total darkness?? How do you focus?? I'm interested in knowing! Hugs from my Dixie! (She had a birthday on the 2nd; 2 years old!) Someone's been staying up late and playing outside in the dark! LOL :-))) I hope you take Petie out there with you for security!!! I'm amazed at how great these photos are coming out; the color is brilliant. Mine would be all washed out from the flash. Are you using your tripod on these photos? I need some lessons on how to use a tripod before we go on a major vacation!!!! I hate those tripods! More rain today and cool. It reminds me of all the vacations we used to take when the kids were little and we lived in Florida. Our parents lived in Illinois and every year we would try to visit them the first week in June. It would be rainy and cold in Illinois. They called it "blackberry winter," but I just hated it. Well, I know that the blackberries have been blooming for several weeks now, so I don't think this is "blackberry winter!" Great photos and giant hugs. Sharon
