Very nice - I did enjoy your album. First time seeing your work. What kind of photo editing program did you use for the borders you added? sseawood@austin.rr.com

Hi Jane, This album is so beautiful. I love the pink weigela bush. We have one in our garden too, but it certainly doesn't look like that. I must be doing something wrong. I think I will try fertilizing it this spring. All of your photos are fantastic. I've been practicing with my macro setting and have added some new albums this Spring, so stop by for a visit, if you get time. Thanks for sharing your telent. Warm wishes. Donna/Missouri

Hi Jane...I love your rose of Sharon...it is the nicest I have seen. I love the lighting, the sun on the two yellow roses is especially nice. I love the Dutch Iris, The calla lily, the glads...wow are they beautiful!. I love pink dogwood, french perfume, 'passions bell', the clematis, the pale peach iris, (I won't name all of them) so to go on....the lilies are so pretty and I like the deep rose one.The climbing golden lily is really pretty the way you photographed it. I love all the flowers in your album and was surprised to see the flowering kale...I did not know it flowered. I know I have seen some of these before, but its always nice to go back and see the beauty of flowers. Hugs and love and I will write as soon as I can. Barbara

Hi Jane! I love the new additions to your album. The Calla Lily looks so regal, and I can see the shape of an angel in the shadow on the Rose of Sharon. Can you see that? That is really neat!!! Your roses are beautiful also. My garden needs "HELP" this summer, but it looks like yours is loving that Oregon weather. Lots of hugs and love and more birthday greetings for tomorrow also! Sharon

Hi Jane! Your roses are still so beautiful. I love that French Perfume and there isn't a single bug crawling around on it like on mine. We still have lots of roses blooming, but by this time of year the bugs love to make little holes in the petals, etc. I didn't spray enough this summer. Shame on me. I'll just sit back in my easy chair and enjoy your gorgeous roses. :-))) More Hugs! Sharon

Jane, These photographs are simply awesome! I could not pick a favorite because they are all so beautiful. I spent last night at the University of VA Hospital in Charlottesville, VA being "stitched&qu ot; again. I had spinal surgery and then physical therapy. The surgical incision reopened during physical therapy. So, progress here has been slow. In the meantime, I am enoying viewing all of the beautiful photos on Webshots. We enjoy viewing all of your wonderful albums. They are all spectacular and the photography is awesome. Thanks so much for your kinds remarks and sharing your beautiful photography! Kay

Lovely layers is my favorite of your new additions, Jane. Your photos are amazing; you always know just how to catch the perfect lighting for them. I have decided that Petie should pose by a yellow flower; that would be the perfect color for him. Perhaps next spring, a photo of Petie by a yard full of daffodils would be wonderful! :-))))))) Seriously, I love your new additions. This album should certainly be featured. Lots of gorgeous sunshine in Oregon! Sharon

Hey Kid! I love your new additions. You just keep coming up with more flowers in that fantastic yard of yours all the time. You have a gold mine right there in Southern Oregon. :-)) I have trouble telling the difference between Mallow, Hibiscus and Rose of Sharon. Are they all related plants? Maybe my purple Rose of Sharon really isn't that at all and I just thought it was! Hmmmmm!!!! We transplanted it from my sister's home and she called it a Rose of Sharon, so I think I'll just say that's what it is!!!! You know how confused I can get....... Lots of Hugs! Sharon

Hi Jane! I just love "Along a Country Road!" I always loved cattails. We used to gather them from around the ponds over at Bob's parents' farm and bring them back to St. Charles. Of course, we usually had a few bugs come back to MO also. :-))) In my younger days, I used to make artifical flower arrangements for the church and I would add a few cattails in the autumn arrangements. This album is also a WINNER and should be featured. Have a beautiful day and great big hugs! Sharon

Once again, a Winner of an album! 'Along a country road' is so peaceful! I just love it! And 'Luscious Lemon' looks good enough to eat! Thanks for writing in my 'Mushrooms' album; in answer to your question about where I found all these; they were on a hillside of about 1/2 acre, under a grove of Pecan trees. Where I live now is about 2 houses down from the back of a school playground, which is huge, and the trees are like a park. I take Dixie down there on her long leash and see what new mushrooms have popped up, and then I take her back home, and go back with my camera and tripod! Hope you have a wonderful day! Hi from Dixie to Petie and the gang! Jenny

Hey Jane! Thanks for looking at the Shelter Insurance Garden album. We were in Columbia for Marcia's graduation in May and stopped by this little garden right after a rain just to kill some time. Julie had taken us there when she was in college and we thought it was a cute, little peaceful place in the middle of a busy city. Their flowers were just starting to bloom, but they can't compare to your beautiful flowers. You have sooooo many gorgeous flowers and take such good care of them. I have been mistreating my flowers this summer. That's what happens when you become a Senior Citizen!!!! Hope to see more of your gorgeous roses and other flowers soon. Hugs! Sharon

Jane, I enjoyed the entire album and was especially impressed with Passion Aglow! (#7). Even in the photo, the flower looks so alive that I feel I could reach out and touch it. I also liked Lily Gold (#20) and Life Lines (#27). The backlighted leaves of the last photo really caught my eye. Thank you for your comments on my Trees album. I've been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 on my older computer and have recently begun to learn how to use the more powerful 7.01 version of Photoshop on my newer computer. Richard

I guess you were out in the heat after all yesterday Jane and captured some really great beauties. I love Bella Roma. I don't have that rose, but I can see that it's a beauty from your photos. Do you have to water every day in that heat to keep these flowers blooming so beautifully. Your additions are gorgeous. Have a cooler day with less smoke and lots of blue skies. Sharon

Hello Jane! Your new album is very very nice! My favorite is Mallow Blossom and Hydrangea. I set Hydrangea on my desktop. It's so cute! By the way, it was a young praying mantis in my picture. When we take photos, we often come across unexpected discovery. I think it's one of my enjoyments. Thanks for everything. Again.. Nonnon

Hi Jane! Aren't your Rose of Sharons blooming yet? I bet you have lots of them. I only have one plant that I brought to St. Charles from my sister's house in Mt. Vernon years ago and it's a purple one. It has been blooming since the last week in June and I noticed that the purple isn't as rich as in year's past. I guess I need to put a little more acid into that soil!!!! :-)))) I was looking for more plants over at Mt. Vernon in Juanita's yard, but her backyard has become so shady that they were just about all gone. Then I looked around here in the nurseries and couldn't find one this year. Now so that you don't feel left out, I also have a Magnolia tree that is called a Jane Magnolia. It blooms a little later than the Saucer Magnolia and doesn't get hurt by the late frosts and freezes as much. There now! When are we going to get more beautiful flowers from your yard in this album? Hugs. Sharon

Hi Jane! I love the yellow lily addition. My daylilies haven't started to bloom yet because they are getting way too much shade. You always have such beautiful flowers!!! :-))) Bob and I are trying to get rested up from the girls today. They got back to Columbus safely and were glad to see their Daddy! Give everyone a big hug for us. Sharon

Hi Jane! I love the lily. It's really a beautiful color. Do you have several of the same color or various colors? Does your French Perfume rose like the hot weather and more dry conditions? I bought that new one from J&P this spring and it is just barely growing. My other two new ones have bloomed, but this French Perfume is just sitting there. Maybe it's been too cool and wet for it!!! Well, hopefully, tomorrow will be "visit the reserve" day! Have a lovely evening and hugs. Sharon

Hi Jane! Love the peach iris! Are your irises still blooming? I was really surprised in Indiana because their irises were in full bloom. Mine are gone now; I guess they're about a week behind there. There were some really beautiful deep purple iris blooming by a black iron fence surrounding a white old home in Rockville, IN, but I didn't want anyone to think I was trespassing, so I didn't get to photograph it. I tend to be very careful where my feet tread! :-))) Hope you are having a lovely weekend. It's windy, cool and dreary here, but I think the birds love it! Hugs to everyone! Sharon

Jane, My poor little French Perfume plant is still just sitting there with a little growth on it, and I may have to replace it soooooooooon! I have another rose garden on the east side of the house right next to the walk-out basement. You couldn't see those roses in the pics I sent you. I actually have a lot more roses in bloom over there because it is a lot warmer in that location. My favorite roses are over there also. I'll try to get a pic of that area sometime over the weekend. I think I'll check the Crater Lake Cam; I bet it would be pretty up there now! Hugs and mockingbird kisses! Sharon

Hi Jane! Guess what? I did buy French Perfume this spring from J&P. It's not doing too well. The others I bought just took off, but this rose is having a lot of trouble getting started! I didn't even remember what I ordered. I had two Betty Boops (for Bob's viewing pleasure) and I got rid of one of them, Oregold was in bad shape so it went, Christian Dior was really in bad shape and I thought I was replacing Fragrant Cloud, but I ended up with two Fragrant Clouds now. I also got rid of Chicago Peace because it was not doing well and replaced it with Moon Shadow. Oh, yes, and I had one I called Ultimate Pink (although the company I ordered it from sent the wrong rose and it was mislabeled, so I really don't have a clue what it was)and I didn't like the leaves on that plant, so I replaced it with Lover's Lane! If I don't get a break in the weather soon, the bugs will be eating all my roses up again this year! Good luck with all your roses and I hope my French Perfume does as good as yours!!!! Hugs and rose petals!! Sharon

Hi Jane! Passion Aglow is gorgeous! It looks like your roses are doing quite well! What is the name of the new rose that you were going to get today? Did you and Rod get it planted? I bet it will do well, really well, in that bright sunny area! Keep those additions coming to this album. It is so beautiful!! Have a nice, quiet lovely evening way out there in the Northwest!!! :-))) Hugs! Sharon
