yes they can be grown from the seeds the plant makes

Beautiful pictures. I am trying to find out more info on the 'Trumpet' plant. My in-laws have a beautiful orange colored plant that goes over a arbor type entrance into their yard. It's huge and has these big pods hanging from them. Can these pods be planted and will they grown into more plants? Each year his plant gets larger. It completely covers the arbor and ajoining fence line every year. I want to plant some of these, too. Can I do that from the hanging pods? Again, your pictures are breath-taking. Thanks for sharing them.
