Hi Anna, yes, I was in the balloon. My legs are strong enough to hold me up, so my brother helped me into the balloon, then I leaned against the balloon all the way up and down. This time it was too windy when we first got to Tenerife, and it was too late to go when the wind died down. The first few days we were there, it rained really heavily, but it turned good for the last 4 days. I didn't have my digicam when I first went to Tenerife, thats why the photos were taken with the film camera. All the best, George.

Hi Anna! What beautiful color. I can close my eyes and see those tulips swaying gently in the wind. I’m looking forward to visiting your new album. To answer your question: I’ve been into photography for most of my life – sometimes more seriously than others. When I lived in New York, I would shoot a roll of film a week. While I lived in Dallas, Texas (for over seven years) I had a camera in my hands no more than half a dozen times, and those were mostly while I was on vacation (holiday). How about you? I took your advice and visited Stephane’s albums and you were right. He does have a great collection of birds, although I wish he would include some text naming the bird and where he shot it. Hoi Anna, Ik vind net je berichtje in mijn gastenboek. Je zult het niet geloven maar ik wilde je vandaag gaan schrijven. Ik liep vanochtend te denken wat ik je allemaal wilde zeggen. Hello Anna, This is a beautiful album; great tulips. It is difficult to find favorites but #7 is my choice for a group and #11 and #20 are memorable as individual flowers. For macro shots #17, #22, #29, #34, #50 stand out for me. Thank-you for visiting my albums and your comments. I got knowledge of your site both by seeing your name as a favorite of others as well as a participant in the webshots live album weezie5501 put together. I stumbled onto webshots by chance when I was searching the internet for pictures of gloxinia. I spent several days just looking at recent additions in the scenery and nature section of webshots and bookmarked many sites to revisit at a later date. Your site may have appeared in the bookmarked group, especially the photographers outside the USA. I shall never tour the world in person so I am delighted and thankful so many fine photographers like you can let me see the world through their pictures. Thank-you for sharing. I photograph with an Olympus C-700 UZ, a camera that I bought on impulse. I stopped at a camera store in summer 2001 and saw some prints made from digital cameras which looked of good quality. The prints sold me on digital as an acceptable format. I bought the C-700 mainly because it allowed me to control exposures and also because I can physically operate it with three finger tips gone from my right hand. I have trouble manipulating small things with the right hand so I need a camera of some size. It turned out that the C-700 is a reasonably good camera and it works very well for me as a macro camera. And that is how I got started in digital photography. Thirty to forty years ago I shot quite a bit of monochrome film but I photographed very little in the intervening years because of work and raising children. Except for the immediate results from digital cameras and some ease of processing the final picture I would still prefer film. There is a satisfying magic of watching a print come up in the develper tray. However, much that I would do with film is no longer possible since the industry has changed and particular films and papers are no longer available. Film photography is also very expensive. When we moved to Manchester I lost my darkroom with its convenient water supply and waste disposal and because of environmental contamination problems with photo chemicals where we live now I have opted for the digital camera. I wish they made a simple digital camera that the photographer controlled. (three things are required, ISO setting, but not really that important, Shutter speed control, aperature control; that is all. If it had a built in spot meter that would be good.) Oh gosh, I have gotten long winded via the written word. Thanks again for sharing your pictures and I shall come back again to see more of your albums. Regards and God bless, Carl

I live in Arkansas and the soil here seems to eat the bulbs after about 3 winters. We had 2 very bad ice storms just as the buds were to open so lost many this spring due to the heavy ice. Those close to the house made it ok. Your flowers are beautiful. Many thanks for sharing with me. What camera are you using??? ladypeach

Hi Anna, always fun to see this album. For the red tulips i think i manage to get them sharp because i forgot to change my setting loll. Instead of sun setting for the white balance i was on interior light. Maybe that's why. I knew you add new photos because i put you in my favorite so that tell me when you add new ones.
