  • Hi Jane! The African Violets Made of Diamonds is such an appropriate name for the new photo! Do you use special lighting on the violets when you photograph them? Tell Katy to quit pigging the computer; we want more photos. I'm looking forward to seeing new photos of Petie, also! Birdie hugs! Sharon

  • Do you have a green thumb or what, Jane! I love the last two photos you added to the album. You really can get the lighting just right for those crystal-looking photos. Have a lovely weekend and hugs for Petie and the girls! Sharon

  • Hi Jane! I love "Looks Like a Shimmering Gown!" I can almost see a bride standing there with the flowing train of her dress shimmering in the sunlight! This album is deserving of a feature. Of course, you know that the purples are my favorite color, but I think the "gown" wins this time! :-)))) Hugs and birdie peeps! Sharon

  • Jane, Do you grow the Cyclamen at home? I love your pictures of the different stages of the bloom opening up. And you really have a green thumb with your African Violets!!! My little orchid is still living and blooming, but I don't think it is very happy. Thanks again for all your encouragement and compliments. Bob and I had taken lots of photos last spring at the Gardens and I have several we never used, so am pulling them out because I can't wait for spring to get here. LOL :-)) Could I borrow one of your dogs for a few days? I could use their happy faces for a few days!!! Talk to you later. Sharon

  • Jane..this is such a beautiful album! The flowers are beautiful, but the way you have photographed them is amazing. Oh how it touches me to see such beauty. I especially love 'solitaire' and the white and the pink flowers that are still closed. I think they are perfect. Beautiful technique and lovely flowers. warm wishes, Barbara http://community.webshots.com/user/midnight_lace http://community.webshots.com/user/barbaramidnight

  • Jane..I love your additions to this album. I love all the purple as I have told you before. Your Easter Catcus looks like the same plant that my Mother used to call a Christmas Catcus. My mother really had a green thumb with house plants as it appears you also have. My little orchid is still living, but I do better with outdoor plants like my roses. I have one houseplant (other than the little orchid) which I brought home after my Mother died and I have managed to keep it alive by starting new plants from the old one. My Mom has been gone 32 years now, so that was one hardy plant. Keep posting photos from your beautiful Oregon spring flowers; we're still getting snow and cold. Have a great weekend. :-)) Sharon

  • Thank you for looking at my new album, Jane. Your new album is marvelous! My favorite is "Delicate beauty". The petal of 14th is very beautiful and looks like silk. By the way, it's a very cold rainy day today. February is the coldest season in here. My narcissi have not bloom yet. Thanks for your good work! Nonnon

  • I love purple, Jane. Are these your violets? You have really given me something to look forward to because I am getting very tired of the snowy, cloudy days. :-(( For fun while it was so cold outside, Bob sat the camera up inside the family room and shot photos of the Cardinals at the bird feeder out on the patio. He really did get some pretty good pictures, but after about three days of this, I'm ready for warmer weather. LOL :-)) Thanks for the kind comments in my New England Album. I had never heard of the Castle in the Clouds before either until I was map reading our way around New Hampshire on our vacation last fall and pretty much spotted it on the map and told Bob to "turn here" and he couldn't figure out how I knew about the place! :-)) I have found out that you can discover lots of places by reading a map! I think he enjoyed touring that home just about as much as anything we did on our trip. Hope you have a great week. Sharon
