Hi Denis, sorry about the slow reply. I put about 6 to 8 coats of Deft spray lacqure on them after a good coat of cut sanding sealer. Be sure to rub them out with OOOO steel wool between each coat. Hope that helps. Curtis

These are some of the best looking ornaments I've seen. The wood is something you don't see that often (at least not painted) as an Ornament. Thanks for sharing your photos. Best regards. Eva
