Bill I really enjoyed seeing the architectural side of the lighthouses. My husband and I frequent many of the Michigan lighthouses. I love putting light in the lighthouse that no longer have that beautiful guiding light to help the ship to safe harbor. I love to see them in their full glory. They are unbelievably beautiful. Mr. Bill, Can't understand why you haven't had any comments in this album before now - always interesting to view your work. Downloaded two this time, adding more to my library of your work in progress. Mr. Bill, Its worth knowing that you can also 'read' past the lines of photos I've uploaded into my site-yes, was in the Navy years ago, still use the lingo at times...deck, bulkhead and overhead when allowed, use to drive my with up the wall, but she's now using the terms herself. Its still using the 24-hour clock times that still throws her for a loop!! I must assume that you grow your own orchids, a nice volley here-could make an interesting macro album out of those you have at this time...and one other photo worth mentioning is the picture "Sogne Fjord-Norway Copy" is interesting to me...had a similar photo I shot of a lightning bolt I captured through a car window years ago, gave me exact duplicates eight times over of the ridges within the landscape. If I can find it, I'll add it to one of my albums. Just read a warning from our weather service, we have high wind warnings throughout the day, from 40 to 50 and gusts to 60 until tonight. This will aggravate the ocean enough to bring in the heavy waves and more pictures. Anyway, thank you for your nice comments in all my albums you've visited, past and present. Gosh, it's been way to long since I have been on web shots...Your right; I do like this album...I am going to Michigan this year for a reunion...I plan on taking some time to visit some of their many lighthouses...I have some more Washington and Oregon lighthouses just haven't got them up yet...old snap shots, and my scanner is a sorry thing these days...time for an new one...Thanks for telling me about this one...way back in June...LOL...Lina

There was a very interesting article in the Dallas Morinig News Travel Section Sunday Aug 3 about the Lighthouses of Michigan..written by Gerry Volgenau with the Knight Rider Tribune in Bay City MI. Very detailed inf about Fort Gratiot in Port Huron, Sand Hills on the Keweenaw Peninsula, Big Bay on Lake Superior & Whitefish Point on Whitefish Bay..I was very impressed with the article & feel sure that you've seen these since you live in Michigan..Would be some very interesting photos to add to your albums.. wow - you don't often find pictures of the Cedar Point lighthouse anywhere. Is it a photo? When was it taken - it looks like it was still in pretty good shape at that time. Thanks for your nice note a few weeks ago. I was in NC when I first saw your barn albums and I just loved them. As I drove back home to MD, I found myself looking at the NC barns in a whole new light! I'd never realized all the regionl variations in barn styles. Thanks for the education!
