Album Description:
The Appelqvist House 1:8. I have been working on this house for about 14 years now, and it isn't ready, some furniture and accessories are still lacking. I have made all the furniture myself, only the wicker furniture in the ladies parlour is purchased.

I love this dollhouse! It is so exciting -- I am trying to make a dollhouse in 1:9 scale and find it very hard to buy any furniture in that scale. Like you, I will have to make all the furniture myself. I was very happy to find your page, because there are very few people who are brave enough to try dollhouses in different scales. Did you make your dolls? Are they paper-mache? Could you tell me how you make the carboard tube stoves that are in the bedroom and dining room of your house? I would like to see more photos of this house and learn about the adventures you had making it. Sincerely, Gia ghiasword@ austin.rr.com

Your house is totally charming. What a great idea using a cupboard for the base. Best wishes, Rita
