If it was hot enough to melt wiring, the breaker would blow, I had it on for hours with no effect, go back to circuits 101 and study this time, ok.

Great idea! One word of caution though. The existing camper wiring may not be big enough to handle enough current to power two 55 watt lights. After a short time, the wires may heat up enough to start melting. Be sure you don't leave these lights turned on for long. Sam
