Kaethi & Henri, please forgive me for not commenting on this facinating collection until now. The detail you show of the fossils is superb, they always intrigue me. I try to watch all the TV progs where they are shown. The minerals also interest me, I have a small collection myself from my time in Africa. I might try to photograph them one day when I run out of other subjects! LOL. Enjoyed the album. I used to enjoy finding fossils when I was young. There are a lot of limestone deposits where one could find a lot of shells. Never found a trilobite, however.

I remember being on a trip to Scotland and finding a beautiful piece of fluorite, which I had to wrap in my clothes so it could be safely transported in the suitcase! Dear friend, thank you so much for sharing with us all these treasures. Thank you very much for enjoy seeing my new album of the Swiss Alps, my ever, ever, ever favorite vacation destination. I had also visited Sion twice. The first time many years ago, walking around Barrage de la Grande Dixence. The second time a few years ago, enjoyed relaxing hikes around the Sion-Sierre vineyards. Je suis revenue!!! Retard des déménageurs... LOL. Superbe collection, chaque album de fossiles et minéraux est plus beau que le précédent, il va falloir que le photographe réunisse toutes les plus belles photos, une ou deux par specimen, pour en faire un "vrai" livre! A considérer, non?

This is very interesting. We have many fossils where we live as well. We also have the first dinosaur tracks ever found - Both my husband and I have photos of them on Webshots. By the way . . . my husband ("roguegenius") just got a member's choice featured picture under house and garden - water gardens. I've uploaded quite a few pics lately myself. Hi Henri, Hi Kaethi very interesting collection you have display here. I have collected several trilobites but have never seen any thing like this collection. I’m out chasing mercury emissions in the southeast. I left my camera at home it’s just too cold right now. It is always nice to see your pictures and see what you have been doing.
