Album Description:
Here is a sampling of some leafhoppers, treehoppers, planthoppers, and spittlebugs which I have photographed in the yard and nearby woods over the past 2-3 years. Often overlooked, some of them are quite interesting when looked at closely.

You have made me appreciate the beauty of these small animals that you/they pass so unnoticed ! - Paola

The visibility of the fine cilia/hairs on many of these bugs indicates to me that you have lots of patience and a camera up to the task. You are right, they are interesting, and more than that, they are elegantly designed and artfully colored. I don't think I've seen many bugs to rival their diversity. Good show, Bee.
