    • Nice to know you find this helpful. This album has created to help some new Hepatica gardeners to grow the seeds and recognize seedlings. There are only very few species/hybrids, which survive outdoors in this zone/area. But when the climate is suitable, Hepatica is rather easy to star from seeds: seed must have so called cold treatment before they are able to germinate - so be patient, sow some seeds outdoors, and just wait for next spring to see what will happen. Here the germination process of ripen seed to first true leaves takes 11-12 months.

    • Thank you for posting these photos. The plants are beautiful, and the seedling pictures are informative. I'm very interested in raising Hepatica from seed, as there are very few varieties available as plants here in the US. I planted a group of seeds about two months ago, but none have germinated yet. If they don't come up, I'll try again next year!

    • These are wonderful photos. Thank you for sharing them. I am hoping to grow some Hepatica from seed, as most varieties are not available here in the US as plants. I planted a group of seeds about 2 months ago, and none have germinated yet. I still have hope, and if they don't come up, I'll try again next year.
