Album Description:

Don't you just hate it on wet days when there's nothing to photograph. Undaunted I went out this Monday morning with my little point and shoot and took a few snaps. Come share what I saw on a walk around the neighbourhood. Not a bad morning's work, even

  • Rainy days and Mondays are those days I wouldn't touch my camera at all.... I need to look at more and more such picture and learn that there is no bad weather in photography. All your wonderful flower close-ups are full of beauty and prove what a great observer you are. I guess you gave me some new ideas for my next project... but right now here... it just won't rain! • You captured some interesting photos after the rain. Looks like a good day's work to me; it's worth getting rained on for shots like these. I remember trying to track down the rose garden in Holland Park on a trip to England a couple of years ago. By the time I arrived it was pouring! Decided to wait around and took a few pictures after the storm and was surprised at how well they came out.

  • Hello Keith, This is an album worth getting wet for. Today we have freezeing rain and there is snow coming, so I wouldn't be out there trying to get shots like these for some time....Jules from Ontario, Canada

  • Your selection of subject matter on a theme that evades so many photographers brings a new breath of life to nature photography! I always love photographic raindrops and dew drops though I haven't uploaded many of such pictures on my site (you are welcome to visit) but will one of these days. "That No Laundry Today" is really a superb picture not just a photo, deserving the Members' and Editor's Choice.

Your work is a real pleasure to view my friend. Thanks for taking the time to pay me a visit, your comments are always such a pleasure to read...Take care now, Larry from the other side of this planet.

  • Great album Keith. I love the drops on all the vegetation - very well done. I also need to thank you for all of your extremely kind comments on my "Old Houses" album and my album on old flower remains. I havent been back to my son's house in about 6 months to see if the houses are still there. I'll let you know. Don't feel bad about not knowing the names of those old flower remains. I dont know some of them myself. And Im sure I wouldnt know your Australian species, even if they were in full flower. I am glad you appreciated them though, and I certainly do appreciate your comments. Mike

  • Hi Keith.... seems that Webshots have another problem with their Stats -- You have all these Comments below so the album has been viewed, yet the figures above show Views:0 Downloads:0 ... For the record, I have looked at it twice anyway! ... Gladys

  • Hi Keith! Thought you might get some rain over there, but I am pleased you did not get Brisbane's storm. Enjoyed this lovely new album and you made good use of a wet day. Loved the clothes pegs on the line and you have done an excellent job of capturing those rain drops, they are so crystal clear and beautiful!! Think you will be picking zucchini long before I do, but I might beat you with ripe tomatoes. Thanks for sharing your rainy day stroll and your great work with your little camera.. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

  • G'day Mate, thanks for the email, what a great album, I've done the same as those below... slideshow and will come back and comment, it was a joy to view. I also have to agree with Leslie's comment about P&S gear, it's the user that has the creativity, not the equipment but a good camera sure dose help.

said of georgefreer georgefreer 2008.11.17 at 13:38:05 PST

  • I think P&S cameras are largely underrated! Mind you a lot can be remedied with Photoshop! Today we're having a lovely day but all that will no doubt change tomorrow! Lovely photos as always, Keith! I'll return later. Leslie

  • Hi Keith, thank you for the invite. I ran it in slideshow as it's after midnight. It's a top little album. Love the reflections on some of the leaves and flowers. I think I even saw you in one of them :) Hope you didn't get any storm damage up there. I hear Sydney copped it. Take care Big hugs Chris and Jay
