• "WOMAN" (1978)
  • Who can she be?
  • a tempered product of time, the break-ups and the heartaches
  • one who’s borne the emptiness with silence and tears
  • and has known well the meaning of “one”,
  • alone and the lonely moments
  • the limits of decent womanhood she has held
  • a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a friend and a lover
  • the semblance of a scratchpost –
  • hurt and beaten but ever victorious
  • truly the warmth of a feminine touch can soothe
  • a turbulent mood and a restless soul
  • and yet, the hurt and pain she inflicts
  • bears not the meaning of a cooling heart.
  • But who is she … this woman?
  • true love, true faith and true hope she clings to
  • in her heart lies gentle wisdom and quiet beauty
  • she breathes and savors God’s unspoilt wonder
  • her life with God to share
  • her love from Him … and to him forever.
  • This is she.
  • This is what I try to be – a woman ...
  • … your woman.
