  • Carissima Ornella...Vengo di guardare il tuo album in diaporama...E assolumente meraviglioso... Un canto d'amore per la natura quasi-selvaggia con foto di grande qualita...Paola a voglia di ritornare, la capisco bene. Qualchi anni fa, eravamo a Lucca, ma non abbiamo visitato questo magnifico parco naturale che non conosciamo, con orsi, cervi, luppi( di pietra, certo, ma non fa niente), ucelli, fiori, tutte piu belle le une le altre. Fu un gran piacere per me, che sono stato durante i 25 primi anni della mia vita, nella campagna, in piena natura, mio padre era operaio agricolo...Sono stupendo come parli tanto bene in inglese, bravo Ornella. Vodrei essere capace come tu, ma non e possibile. Come per l'italiano, ho un dizzionario e saggio, come posso, di parlare quelle lingue ! E tu, come stai ? Penso che vai, di nuovo, partire coll'apparecchio fotografico, nella bella Toscana, a fare altri bellissimi album per far piacernoi e particolarmente alla tua grande amica, Paola che ama piu di tutto la natura e la montagna...Carissima Ornella, vado uscire con mio vecchio e caro Melkyor per l'ultimo pipi della giornata...Dopo, al letto, domani, lavoro ancora, ancora !   • Orecchiella park - Garfagnana - area north of Lucca, Tuscany. Dominated by the broad high plain of Pania di Corfino, a natural reserve since 1980, it owes its good fortune to its natural disposition as an ideal place and perfect habitat for large wildlife, such as various types of deer and moufflon for their repopulation of the territory. An uncontaminated place, within easy access from San Romano in Garfagnana, it is visited by thousands of tourists throughout the year. The magnificent Orecchiella Natural Park lies half-hour drive from Piazza al Serchio, one of the principal Garfagnana towns. An easy walk from the Visitor Center leads to the Botanical Garden, which highlights the Orecchiella's floral diversity. A series of trails heads from here to the summit of Pania di Corfino, a dramatic limestone peak that dominates the Serchio valley. At over 1600m the Pania is one of the highest peaks in Tuscany, affording climbers with panoramic views of the Serchio river valley and the entire majestic Apuane Alps range. There are many fine circuit trails around the Pania and elsewhere in the park. The Orecchiella Park has a variety of rare flora, due to the fact that it is something of an alpine island within a warmer region. In addition it boasts an array of special fauna, including royal eagles, royal owls, hawks, deer and more recently introduced rams and wolves.
