Album Description:

Just bought the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi, my first DSLR. I haven't gone anywhere exciting with it yet, but I plan to soon. These are just shots taken in my yard or neighborhood. Feel free to comment!

  • Hi Rachel, the results of your new camera are great, love the flowers and dog shots. Are you pleased with your new camera? I'm currently looking at Canon EOS 450D also so it will be very like yours. You have some lovely albums.I found you when looking at Jayne's doorway album.

  • Looks like you are having fun already. Nice shots. You have some good stuff to get you going in the world of DSLRs. The main thing to remember about tripods is there are two kinds. The kind that's easy to carry around and good ones. LOL. If you don't already have Photoshop and don't want to put out the $500 for the CS3, PS Elements is reasonably priced and does all the essentials PS does. Then you can learn to to "stupid PS tricks" like this: http://www.betterphoto.com/gallery/big.asp?photoID=6411538&catID=&style=&rowNumber=14&memberID=258405

  • Bravo! The entire world is right there in your new camera lens waiting for you to show it to the rest of us here at Webshots... Rachel, you have exonentially improved your photography with the new equipment. If these are just the "test" shots, I really cannot wait to see what you come up with when you get serious. There are many, many professional quality photographs in this album. I am anxiously waiting to see your first feature (perhaps, this album is it)! Clark

  • My Canon came with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. I also bought the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens, a circular polarizing filter (not used yet), and the Canon wireless remote (not used yet). I have a full size tripod and some mini tripods but haven't used them yet with this camera. Wish list: telephoto macro lens, monopod and a new tripod.
