Album Description:

My first experience with growing amaryllis. The flowers are of great beauty and elegance, but live only a few days. I found myself wishing that Time stopped.

  • Wonderful Collection of Images, I must admit Amaryllis [or Hippeastrums as we call them in Oz] are a Passion of mine too. Some varieties last longer than others, the Reds seem to have the shortest life span. Warm wishes from Australia, Helen

  • Amazing album--cannot make up my mind which one I love more--the stunning, vivid drama of the reds and the serene, subtle beauty of the apples...

  • Hi Gabriela! Amaryllis are showy flowers; they are vivacious and call for attention wherever they are, and rightly so. Your photographs of their different moods, especially the ones with a b&w backgrounds, are extraordinarily beautiful. The textures you have achieved leave nothing to be desired. This is a great album and I enjoyed it slide by slide. Best wishes, Suresh

  • Oh Gabriela, This album is gorgeous, your amaryllis are gorgegous and your photos are gorgeous! Mine outside have just bloomed but I didn't get any photos of them this year. Your blooms may only have lasted too short of a time, but your photos live on forever and you can enjoy them that way. Many thanks for visiting my Floral Potpourri album - I had fun doing it. My brother and sister-in-law are visiting for Easter. We are going sightseeing today and to Sea World tomorrow. Take care, Hugs, Carol
