That is a beautiful flower!! What is it called? I'm looking for a flower for my mother-in-law who is Armenian, from Lebanon. Do you know if this flower is available in the US and if it will grow in northern California? Thanks for sharing your photos!

Hello. Mane is Elias, an American/Lebanese living in the US since 1977. I have been enjoying your photos since 2004. The question I have is: Is is official that this flower is the National Flower of Lebanon? could you please email me your reference to eliaselhossari@yahoo.com? I really want to make sure. When I was growing up in Lebanon North, this flower was always my favorite. Thank you and Best Regards. Sorry about your dad, my Sympathy to you and to your family.
