Album Description:
This beautiful garden area, opened in 1867, is located in the very center of Halifax, NS. Although many large trees were destroyed by Hurricane Juan in 2003, the array of species is impressive. I visited on August 28, 2007.

`Thanks for sharing this beautiful album! My family lived in Halifax for about 10 months when I was about 5 or 6, and I believe there are a few photos of my sister & myself near the bandstand somewhere in my parents'old photo albums... Adi

Hi Brenda, what a beautiful album with so much of the dark foliage green of summer in most of the photographs. You must have had more rain than us here in Ontario. It is always a pleasure viewing your photos. Regards from Paul in Ontario.

Hi Brenda - I really enjoyed strolling through this splendid album. It is so full of color and beauty. You can feel the peace of the place come through your photos. Hard to believe it is in a city. Loved the duck shots too. Happy Autumn... Shirley
