That's interesting. I have seen diffrent ones that are used up in AK. Is this something you are allowed to use where you live? Just wondering. Most I have seen in AK where used by the native Alaskan and durning salmon season.

I have never heard of fish traps. I suppose it is preferable to fly fishing, which causes the fish extreme pain.

Having said that, the fish must hurt itself trying to escape, so perhaps not so humane after all!
