I dutifully typed in "hostile 1A" in order to be able to make the last comment, which had the effect of making me feel hostile! I don't know whether Webshots has gone on a self destruct rampage, but I am sure that many other members will not tolerate these intrusions. Having to log in several times a day is bad enough, not to mention the idiotic ads trying to persuade people to buy their own pictures, as well as other people's, even though I have Premium membership and am supposed to be ad free. Now it doubles or trebles the time needed to make a short comment, ruins the mood of the album and strains my eyesight. So I hope that you will understand that it is nothing personal and no reflection on your photography, which is excellent. So I'll stay in touch via the slideshows, until and unless Webshots deigns to remove these stupid security demands. Anyone would think you were having to give all your personal data, including bank and credit card details to make a comment. I know what comment I feel like making in their stupid ears, but I am convinced that my words would just exit via the other earhole, as there is probably just empty space in between! Hugs, Kathryn

Dear Patty, I have the greatest admiration for your excellent photography and in normal circumstances would at this point be saying how much I enjoyed viewing your album. However, I regret that this is not the case. For some time now, although I never log out, I have been required to log in, but now, even after having logged in, every time I want to make a comment, I am confronted with a stupid inqisition demanding that I fill in the letters in order to be able to do so! Do the idiots think that I have changed into another person since I logged in a few minutes previously! I now have much less time than I did before for Webshots, as my husband has recently undergone major surgery for cancer and the surgeons are not sure that they managed to remove all of the malignant tissue, so he might have another one coming up in a few months' time. In the midst of this trauma and upheaval I will have to undergo two cataract oeprations in the near future. It is getting harder and harder to take decent pictures, as I only have a semicompact camera, so have to do a lot of editing and the strain on my eyes has meant that I now have to rely almost exclusively on the AUTO function both for the camera and the photo editing software. Now I am confronted with all these stupid security demands at every turn it is just too much! It has taken all the pleasure out of it for me. For the past few weeks I have been bombarded with stupid messages from a spammer and have had to block him over 25 times in different guises, but this is a hundred times worse than the spammer! I think that I am just going to have to view albums as a slideshow and leave one general comment. Because of another medical condition I will need a general anaesthetic for my operations (normally done under a local), so my blood pressure has to be within normal limits (not easy to achieve, as the medication I take has the effect of pushing it up), so I hope that you will understand why I am changing my method of commenting. It is nothing personal.
