OH WOW! I didn't dream there were so many different colors, sizes, and shapes of these beautiful blooms. And most of these are on YOUR ponds. How cool. Thank you so much for educating me. All I knew was, they were the bloom on the lily pad. So is it the shape of mine, what makes it a lotus? And I noticed yours all have a different center than mine. You have some really great close ups. Our neighbor's pond has weeds grown up so close to the banks, so getting much of a close up is impossible. This is a fabulous album. Thank you for your comments on my lillies. The one you seen was a tropical in a warmer climate at my old house. I have a couple tropicals at my new house in the North Georgia mountains. One minature has survived a couple winters in a small 24" diameter pond amongst my statues. It gets completely buried in leaves and I leave it alone until spring. I didid not expect it to survive but it has. It even survied my dog pulling it out of the pond to play with.

Wonderful collection of water lilies. Makes me miss the ponds I had when I lived in Florida. All my lilies where planted directly in the ponds with no pots. Everything was built to be a natural as possible. My biggest pond was about 3,000 gallons.

Hi Brenda, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this album of waterlilies, the photography is excellent. Two weeks ago I was in Algonquin Park and there I canoed though a shallow area in a lake where the waterlilies were so plentiful and beautiful. Unfortunayely I did not get closeups like yours.
