Hi Stenaphie, I have just shifted from my home that my family and I occupied during their early years, and I occupied by myself (with various dogs as companions) after they all left for University and places south, a total of 44 years occupation. I know full well how people who have lived through a depression, and their children after them, will never throw things away! I can understand that - I'm like a magpie, I'm told! You should have seen the amount of stuff (all really handy:-) too!) that we had to throw out, when we shifted to my little cottage, which is probably not bigger than your basement. I still have to dispose of lots of stuff, when I can summon up the fortitude to do it! Thanks for making me feel a bit better about my hoarding nature. I loved to see the old things lying about in the yard (especially seeing I don't have to mow!). Regards. Margaret.Qld.Au.
