Your home is an inspiration! Anyone can go into debt or blindly spend money to achieve a look, you have used creativity to accomplish the same thing. What you have created is 100 times more inspiring. I am in awe of your talents.

You would never know that you were 'cheap' by looking at these pics! You seem to have a real knack for decorating. Personally I think some of the best things you can find are found at the Salvation army and Goodwill...I am also HUGE into thrift stores and yard sales....I buy such great things for decorating at yard sales!
Your home is amazing! We have the same taste in stores too! Do you have a blog? Would love to share with you and learn from you too. What an inspiration! Blessings to you!
Wow you are really good at decorating. I agree I am really into the whole colonial primitive houses too. But like you I cant afford it. And on top of that I am not good AT ALL at decorating and nor do I have a good eye for great finds so if you dont mind I am going to check back often for more great ideas from you.
Because I have little to no budget for extras (such as decorating), I shop at thrift stores, Goodwill, Salvation Army, and St. Vincent de Paul. I also order from Factory Direct Craft, Craft Catalog, KP Creek, e-Bay, and anywhere else I find a true bargain. If I can't afford it, I try to make it or fashion something similar out of anything I have laying around. I will even rob parts off something I have to use for something else. I admire all of those beautiful primitive/colonial homes I see and wish I could afford what they have. But, I just have to be satisfied with what I have and try to "make do." My house is slowly progressing to what I'd like it to be, but there is so much more to do:)
