Bonjour my friend Jacques, I am so glad to see the start of your collection in display for the world to enjoy. I am so impressed by the beauty of those gems that can be taken for granted sometimes. You idea of eventually having an exposition for children and even for adults is so exciting. People will be more aware of these beauties of nature. I found the captions very educational and they invite one to come back for references. There are beaches all over the world and people will take more notice of these gems. Mon tres cher Ami, it's a wonderful collection and I hardly can wait to see more of your treasures! You are very serious about them! I'm not so and I like to see them, so I put most of them in glass bowls and use them as decoration. And some others in a big round glass bowl, all around the walls, put water in it and added some pothos. The efect with the greenery is very pleasant to the eye! You might try it with some of the common shells. Amicalement, Gabriela

This is quite an impressive collection, Jacques! But how do you get them with such bright colors? I have only seen them that way when they are still living happily under the sea. Dear Jacques, I am spellbound by this album. You are a man of many talents. I know you are a painter, a phoptographer, a constant traveller to new places etc. - but, this, I never knew; that you are such a fantastic shell collector. This is a hidden side of you I have just discovered. What a fabulous album! What rich information! Thank you. I am sure this will get featured; if it is not, then, I would be most disappointed. Jacques, you have a very colourfull & interesting collection & you must have invested much time & care to get them home. They are a testament to natures artistry. I have never been lucky enough to see anything like these when snorkelling, I expect they live in deeper water. Eric

Bon soir Jacques, I loved this whole album. Couldn't comment on every picture I liked becasue there were so many! But I thought the sea urchins looked especially lovely in their photos on the black matting. You have quite the collection. Very well done! Dominique

There is nothing quite like finding someone who loves and appreciates the wonder of shells. I love them all. I make sailor's valentines out of tiny tiny shells do you collect the small ones too?
