Hi Marita, dear Cowgirl, living in the warmer climates of the US and not freezing to death this morning. LOL This rose album is a delightful sight. I'll take a bouquet of each one in the arrangement. Thanks for the messages today. The Southern White Rhinos were that color. Not exactly white like the rest of the animals in the Collection--don't know why they picked it--but I'm not complaining. I don't think they're albino, but I was just tickled pink (or white) to see them so active and in a posing mood. We were visiting our daughter and family and they took us to the Louisville Zoo (this was 2 or 3 years ago) and I just snapped several shots of this White Rhino. We have Black Rhinos at the St. Louis Zoo and they were so old that all they want to do is sit at the entrance to their housing and not enjoy the best "digs" at the St. Louis Zoo. :-( I hear that one died (she was ancient) and we now have 2 younger ones, who aren't on display yet, but will be soon. I hope they romp all over that huge space they have there. Waterfalls and all! Anyway, back to the photo. I haven't done any research on the White Rhino-just assumed it was what the sign said--Southern White Rhino. Have a warm day! Hugs, Sharon

Hi Crazy, Texican, German Frau, Yep I am still alive and kicking, although I must admit I have been a little quiet of late, just having a break from it all, like a winter, siesta, and boy when you get to my age you really need it. Have been catching up on hundreds of photo's I took last year that got lost in the archives. Most are a load of rubbish though. Now to these Roses, they are so lovely that I am beginning to hanker for the first signs of them here, Spring this year is very eary, about four weeks in front of last year. So the camera has been working overtime trying out a new macro lense. They would never allow you to ride up on the Yorkshire Dales you would only get lost, and they would have to come and find you (joking of course), do take care and good fortune, Hugs and all that Fen Ken whose ancesters came from Saxony. Thats why we are called Anglo Saxons. So who know God forbid we may be distantly related. Swampy xx

Hi Marita. I stopped by to say thank you for calling the day of my Valentine feature. It's those visits from friends which make the day even more special. I was so happy to hear from you. Hey I love your roses and I see you found the perfect album title too. You clever girl. Edith Piaf is a favourite French singer of mine and ofcourse 'La Vie en Rose' was her signature song which she released in 1946!! I have her biography. I'm not a great reader but this book I couldn't put down and I could read it over and over again. She led an absolutely fascinating and extraordinary life but one which was cut tragically short at the young age of 47 years in 1963. Sorry for rambling... As you've heard, we're off to visit Loree in Albuquerque at Easter. 5 Weeks today we'll be there. Not looking forward to the journey, 21 hours in total. Hi crazy Texas FRAEULEIN (see I do know how to spell it) with some help of course. It seems that great minds think alike, I have been so fed up with all the grey days that I looked up some of the myriad of Summer flowers that I had taken and not done much with, I was going to put a rose one on but just knew that you would beat me to it. They are so photogenic adn I must say that yours are wonderful, each and every one of them. I suppose that the weather down in your part of the world is OK. ours has been grey dull and miserable of late, still the spring bulbs are beginning to show themselves, so it will not be to long before my iching camera finger gets to work again. take good care of yourself and good fortune, hugs galore swampy Ken the Fen

Hi Marita! I think your album came out beautifully even if you thought you were having monitor color problems. You weren't; it was your imagination working overtime! I enjoyed seeing the roses so much this evening. It's been raining here all day and they really brightened up the end to a dreary day!
