Hallo Galit! Sympatische Leute! Ein schönes Weekend! Herzlich, Heinz und Käthi

Hello Galit! What a thought provoking comparison, the cactus and the Sabra! I have great respect and admiration for the Israelis for their determination, innovation, adaptability and the can-do spirit. Your album draws a very apt analogy. Nothing could have been more appropriate. Your shots of the fruits interspersed with striking portraits of the Sabras makes a very profound statement of their nature. Excellent album! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Once again, thank you for all those generous comments in my Sri Lanka album. Best wishes, Suresh

Excellent work young lady and I have enjoyed very much the learning about the cactus as well as the viewing of your portrait photographs. As you know, we used to take portraits for a living several centuries ago and would sure have liked to have had you working with us if these pictures are anything to go by. A very nice album. Hugs, Peter

Daer Galit, This album is wonderful and I love the idea how you have mixed the cacti with the wonderful pictures of your family and friends. I'm sorry to here you were miserable but happy if my featured album today cheered you up :o) I've spent a frustrating day with so many proxy errors and people telling me they couldn't see my pictures :o( Never mind those I call my friends seem to have found it and that makes me happy .Take care now. Dear Galit, no, it's not a feature yet! Only me! LOL LOL. I hope everything is fine with you, my dear friend. I simply loved this beautiful and tasty album, my dear friend! Wonderful shots of this beautiful cactus and its fruits, beautiful macros, great and ravishing colors! And some beautiful portraits also. Nice to see all these Israel fruits. It's funny how the same word can have so different meanings ... In Portugal a "sabre" is a curved sword:) These sabres in your album are much nicer:) It took me some time to visit you, after I came back home, but I was feeling really tired in the first days! Isn't it funny? We go on vacation and we come home tired:) But's it's a long and tiring trip... Now, I'm really busy with my new theatre project and not having much time to see albums, but this one I had to see it! I love this cactus when it's blooming too. Lovely flowers... Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful and delightful shots with us, Galit. Huge hugs, my dear friend, take care, Rosa

What a fun and informative album! I actually picked a prickly pear fruit and had it as a snack while hiking the desert in Nevada. And guess what ..they are not poisonous :)

Hello Galit, I have seen many prickly pears in my time but never knew they had sweet & juicy fruits, in fact I have never seen one cut open before! you have educated me today. Nice collection of portrait expressions as a counterpoint to the sharp points of the cactus, very imaginative, I could never have thought of that. Thankyou for telling me about that Namibia album, some amazing plants & trees, I would like to go there myself one day but doubt if I will ever get chance now. Also thankyou for your very kind words on my Far East photos, it was a great trip for me but wife did not like it & says "no more long trips". I have one more lined up next week, but on my own as she will not come. So off to where no trees can grow! back after Christmas so wish you compliments of the season now, take care. Eric

A wonderful album and a great comparison, Galit! Your portraits are beautiful and your sabra photography is stunning. I have a taste for prickly pears now (I know them from growing them in South Africa) and I know I can't get any here!! Ah well... such is life! Take care and enjoy the rest of the week! Hi Galit! Enjoyed this very unique and special album which you have presented so beautifully. You have some wonderful captures of the Prickly Pear, especially the ripe fruits -- it is the first time I have ever seen the interior of the fruit and I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it looks. Maybe I will be able to sample some one day! Great portrait shots too and lovely family captures. Well done and thankyou for sharing.. Thankyou too for your message and I hope the email I sent on 28 Nov subject 'From gladysclancy' did not get eaten by your Spam catcher this time.. Best wishes.. Dear Galit. There is no limit to our imagination. The subjects are beyond the corner, and all we need is to pick them up. So you came with an brilliant albom. Strongly Israli-tough and sweet, obstinate and full of resource. Wonderful album , full with our Israeli story in short explanation. But the sabre as the fruit ( not the Israli natives)is an emigrant in our country. His original homeland is the continent of America ( Mexico and the south of U S A and south America) To Israel , the cactus "opuntia ficus indica mill" had bin brought from spain by the Turkes 200 years ago, as an plant that all his duty was to be an fence between farmers and village part of lands. When I was 10 years old, I was living in Tel-Aviv and went once with friends to pick sabres as an way to made some money. We came back from the fields out of town with few buckets of sabres, and hands full with thorns. My father donate me a quarer block of ice, ( There was no refrigerators those times...)And we made some money at Levinsky market...:) My father was very proud for this kind of education.....:)

Hello Galit, I want to try that fruit! It looks similar to something I tried in Chile, but I'm not sure if it's the same thing or not! Anyway, thank you for the messages you've left for me over the last few weeks. I haven't had as much time to spend in the Webshots world as what I used to as I've just started up a new business and it's keeping me very busy! Are the people in this album your friends and family? Take care, Sharon
