  • On August 31, 1997 the nation woke to the news that the Princess Of Wales had been in a serious car accident and her condition was unknown. Just after 5:AM The news came back on for the Special Report as the Dr. who cared for and worked on Princess Diana broke the news that the Princess injuries were to great and that after several hours they couldn't save her. The Princess Died as a result of her injuries. The Princess suffered massive head and internal injuries. It took the rescue workers an hour to cut her and her bodygaurd Trevor Rees-Jones from the mangaled wreckage and then another 20 plus minutes to get them to the hospital. From the time the accident was reported and the time the rescue workers arrived it took 20 plus minutes. The Princess was bleeding to death and her bodygaurd Trevor Rees-Jones was clinging to life as he has massive lower facial and chest injuries. The Driver Henri Paul and Dodi Fayed were pernounced dead on inpact. The nation went into shock and became overwhelmed with greif. Mother Teresa spoke about Princess Diana and the sandness she felt over the loss and then she herself passed away on September 5, 1997. Few people in the world could have created such an intensity of emotion and feeling, And all who pay their respects to Princess Diana seem to somehow to have lost a very valuable friend weather we knew her or not. As the Royal Family and the Spencer Family prepare the funeral arrangements, HM Queen Elizabeth II wanted to restore Princess Diana Title to HRH The Princess Of Wales, Charles Spencer and Lady Jane Fellows and Lady Sarah McCorquodale all said NO, That is not what Diana would have wanted. Charles Spencer when deciding on where to place Princess Diana was worried about security issues for Northamptionshire and the volume of people that would come to pay their respects to Princess Diana and over the safty of Princess Diana's remains. The decision was made to place her on the oval island her fathers favorit place on the Althorp Estate.
