Album Description:

This is now a tribute to my former garden as the ceiling water pipes froze and burst just after we went away for a week in June = totally flooded/wrecked house. We are back wandering Oz now but pls come in and enjoy the wild birds etc as much as I did!

  • Well Lorraine, after I once again recovered laughing from your GB entries in my Ranch albums, I thought I'd check & see what you've been up to (photograpically speaking). I am gonna get really deep now - I assume a gadabout is a walkabout in the garden? (talking aussie speak lessons from Peter...)? My next question: didn't know Gypsies have gardens, since they usually don't have a permanent homestead? Yeah, what the heck am I talking about - who cares?!?! - gobsmaker, ripper album! Absolutely stunning macros, and the captions make it cream of the crop (the frosting on the cake). Don't be a stranger! You're quite a find! Viele liebe Gruesse und Kuesse, Marita

  • Thank you for your kind words. I will continue to view your photos. Unfortunately I will not be posting any new shots due to the fact that a burglar took my cameras. All I have left is a tripod and I can't even use that as a seat. Ouch!! John

  • Hi Lorraine, you have great shots in this album, thanks for sharing them. As for the swan - when he drifted over and said 'G'day, mate... d'ya know the way to Seedney?' it was a dead giveaway! Have a great week and take care, Mandy (UK)

  • G'day Mate! I haven't looked at this album yet but I'm working my way up the friends list and am still to reach it. I just called in to say thanks for looking at and commenting on my ;Here We Go Again" album. Your comments put a smile on my face. You have that Aussie sense of humour, which is pretty good for an Aussie. LOL. Catch you later, when you get back from my place. LOL. Hugs Mate! Al

  • Hi Lorraine! You have a wonderful garden and it provides you with great photo opportunities too. Enjoyed your lovely shots of all the interesting things you grow as well as the lovely Rosellas and other visiting birds. By the way, #14 is a Gaura commonly known as Butterfly Bush and also comes in shades of Pink, see: http://www.oasisaustralia.com/catalog/prodlabelc_2580.html I have both Pink and White. Thankyou for sharing your beautiful garden and its treasures.. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.
