Hi Ken! It likes like the Aussies are here. LOL. You have done a great job here mate. It smells like a feature to me. I love every shot in here but I jotted down four that really tickled my fancy. They are numbers 6,11,53 and 64. Then you have the tulips and the lillies which are special as well. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the invite young feller. Cheers Al

Hi Ken, and thanks for the invitation to view these beautiful photos. As for your final photo, it gave me the best laught I'm likely to get today; a graet way to end an album. May your spring be bountiful and your summer hot. Autumn has really started to bite here, it's down to 22C today and everything is dying from the cold. Best wishes from Keith.

Hi Ken, beautiful just beautiful. I love this album, such gorgeous color and i love the Macro's. I wish i had flowers growing like that, but instead we are just getting rid of the rest of the snow. This album really gets me excited for the warm weather. I enjoyed it immensely. Thank you for sharing it....Hugs Claudette

Thanks for your words Ken, you know I'm a big fan of flowers and insects, especially if well captured as these, but every so and so I enjoy to shoot wide rather than macro :o) Ciao! Roberto

Hi Ken, Georgeous macro album, very colorful! I loved the ants eye view of the crocus, and the delicate white pansy picture. I don't recognize the broard bean flower. Is it blooming now in April? Very interesting. Nice album my friend. Hugs, Cynthia

Ken, Just stopped by for a moment to take in this beautiful album. Your macros are superb - I am on my way to Filoli Gardens this morning but am anxious to return and make sure I really did see a cow. Great sense of humor, by the way. Enjoy the weekend. Best regards to you and the family, Stan

Hi Ken! I have been trying to find an answer to your question about the King Billy Pines, and why the stump did not Rot... King Billy Pines are found in the more mountainous wetter areas of Tasmania. They are slow growing with maximum growth rates in the vicinity of 200 mm per year. The sapwood is yellow, but the heartwood is pink to reddish- brown with distinct growth rings. It is a very soft, fine textured timber with a straight grain. It has good bending properties, works easily and seasons well with little shrinkage. The oils present in the timber preserve it very well. Present use is restricted by availability... So it seems that the oils in the wood have preserved it.. Hope that helps.. Gladys.

Hi Ken! Great work! A wonderful album capturing the Colour of Spring.. well done! Won't try to pick favourites because I love all flowers and you have captured wonderful close-up detail here. The Carnations really took my eye though because it is a flower that I have always liked, but seldom see in photographs. Thanks for sharing and I hope you did not have as many hassles uploading as I did with my new album last night (photos arrived as white squares, no picture, just writing. Waited till today, still not there, so deleted and uploaded again. One photo had to be uploaded 3 times).. Perhaps College Live was using all Webshots resources?? Best wishes and keep up the good work.. Gladys, Western Australia.

Thank you, Ken, for the invitation to view your beautiful and "colourful Macro Flowers." Like Peter, I have to say your lilies are absolutely gorgeous as are the others. You're giving your eye and your finger a workout and the results are magnificent! ... I have a question for you Ken, about shooting red flowers. Why is it that the details (for so many of us) are not as good; why doesn't the lens 'capture' what our eye sees? Is there an art to working w/reds? Your rose is beautiful, but it doesn't have the tack-sharpness of the lilies or the Blue Viola. ... Keep exercising that new Olympus and posting new shots for us to see. Thanks again, and a Happy Easter to you too! ... "What?"

Warm hugs, Judy aka L@dybug, Florida

Hi Ken and Carolynn, thanks so much for the invite, I love these gorgeous blooms. The soldiers in the rain looked cute, are they Crocuses? Red, Red Rose is absolutely brilliant. I have many favourites here, too many to mention. The cow looks like she'd really have a feast LOL. What a lovely album for Easter, wouldn't be surprised if you have a feature here mate. Thanks again for sharing Love and Many hugs Chris and Jay

Hi buddy and this is one of those "Nice" albums that I enjoy so much. Your lilies are gorgeous aren't they and you've done very well with all of these. Using the new Olympus I imagine? You are certainly getting the hang of it very well now anyway. Have missed seeing you of late due to a sudden rush of activity in the garden clearing some old beds and getting the ground ready for laying some new areas of lawn - due to arrive on Monday morning! Am working on the principle that it's easier to mow lawn than it is to pull weeds out! Thanks for letting me know about this album and hopefully I'll catch up with you again before very long. Cheers now, Peter
