Hi Dan. Hey I knew the dogwood is both flower and tree, but it only the state FLOWER of North Carolina. The state tree is some pine. :-) I love the flower in any case. I also thought you'd like the work by this photographer, whose large format prints were what I had in mind when I saw your work: http://www.neilsethlevine.com/ He is local in San Francisco, and I've seen these at 48x48" in a gallery. you have an image called: I have no idea what it is! It is milkweed! Very common in Upstate NY and it attracts the monarch butterfly which then lays its eggs on the leaves! Great photo of it!
