Be they soft and glowing, deeper and darker, perfectly matched or completely contrasting, these flowers are delight to my eyes and a solace for the soul. As for their names, I am with Shakespeare...'a rose by anyother name would smell as sweet!'. Congratulations to you and your Flower Power album. The power of it's it's wit and charm made me smile. Thankyou Rod, for your kind comments in my Sky shot album. We have been to Florida numerous times which is famed for its sunsets, but as you say the West Coast of Scotland takes some beating. I have just had chance to look at your latest flower album (having a break from sorting out my Arran pics) which is Gorgeous I particulary like "Silky Peach" but they are all lovely you make it difficult for me to pick a favourite. Thanks once again Rod. My Kindest Regards./Elaine.

Rod...This album is absolutely beautiful! I have not seen so much colour and variety in a floral album before. The photos show your love for the flowers and perhaps your love for the ones you give to Chris. I don't know, but it seems to me you like to give her flowers and that is very nice. I love Tiny Pinks, Warm glow, Star Gazers, and my very favourite is Tip of the Iceberg. The whole album is beautiful though and I am amazed at how many flowers you have there. We are getting warmer here, but trying to get all the snow to melt off the ground still. Thank you for sharing these. warm wishes, Barbara http://community.webshots.com/user/midnight_lace http://community.webshots.com/user/barbaramidnight

Hello Chris, I thought that my latest album was very cloourful, but I must say this one beats mine hands down, they are absolutely marvelous exactly what summer is all about except for the two daffs of course. thanks for the gb on my I'm album, if I could have chosen it would have been that one, I had so much fun doing it. I have several more to go on but I rthink now that I shall either leave it as it is or take a leaf out of your book and continually take some out and put some in, best wishes and good fortune, Ken

Hi Rod. What can I say?. As I've come to expect with your albums, it's perfect. Everything you tried worked. The flowers with the purple and other coloured backgrounds, the different combinations in the bunches, just beautiful mate. You had one particular flower that you included in a lot of the photos, it was white with pink/red edges and Elaine told me it's a carnation. It was probably my favourite flower in here. Great stuff my friend. Catch you next time. Cheers Al.

Hi again Rod. I wasn't sure where the additions started so went right back to the start again and quite literally drooled over them! You have captured everything so well in their respective clusters etc. and have allowed we viewers to put our own names to them if we wish. Hi Rod, I know you say you are not a flower man but these pictures really do capture them very wel., Having taken lots of flower pictures recently I know its not always easy to do so. My favourite has to be those poppies though I think it has to be be my favourite summer flowers when seen in the wild like you do. Thank you so much for the really kind comments in my East Blean Album. I'm glad you liked the picture of the path as I tried hard to capture just what that wonderful wood is like. I was back there yesterday taking more piccies of more of the tiny creatures that live there I'm really enjoying that but yes I am looking forward very much to our Scotland holiday too. Take care now Jill

Hi Rod! Flowers are always favourites and this album is absolutely superb! A wonderful assortment excellently photographed in vibrant colours. Your titles are fine, it is pleasing to see you have thought of something imaginative to complete your presentation. (What disappoints me are those who just leave the disk number, or 'copy of disk', etc). Great work! Thankyou for your kind words in my Marine Life guestbook, it is such a thrill to be featured today, even though many of the fish were too fast for my camera.. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

I've lost track of the number of times I've been in for a peek at this album. It inspires me with it's colours and I have to ask a) were these all taken with the D100 and b) are they all presented as photographed or did you have to do a little photoshopping? The reason I ask about the D100 is that I am giving serious thought to a D70 which is currently being specialed in a local store and is complete with TWO lens - a 17-80 and a 70-300. I always had a soft spot for Nikons and it grieves me that my F3 never gets used nowadays. Anyway, I'll let you know if I take the plunge! C'mon the Aussies at The Oval!! LOL. All the best, Peter

Hi Rod, yep had to get some trees in, I just love them, I like your idea about does it matter what they are called, that is fine by me, and makes a lot of sense, beauty does not need a name just eyesight to behold it. so I love all your beautiful flowers, bright colourful and elegantly presented. I could fill about 20 albums of the flowers that I have taken this year alone, but I think you can over do it. Today I saw two beautiful dahlia's and just hade to snap them , they will appear sometinme no doubt, take care my friend and thanks for all the Gb's Ken

Hi Rod, What a glorious array of colours, each one wonderfully bright and with a clarity that I have come to expect from your wonderful photo's. What a joy to think that spring is almost upon us. we have already got the first signs, and I have managed to get a few, I have been planning a Spring album all winter I knew exactly how I wanted to do it, but my patience run out and I posted it a couple of days ago. Silly me but there is some nice shots I think in it, well my friend thanks for all the inspirtation that I glean from your marvellous albums, I always see something to improve my own efforts, take care and god bless Ken

Hello Rod - good to see you again. That is really a sign of better things to come when your daffodils and crocus start to appear. And what beautiful photos you have got of them, too. I had a look back through some of the others once again and, as before, have been admiring your gorgeous carnations. I like the way you have taken some of these flowers out of their surroundings and given them a black, green or otherwise appropriate background. It REALLY shows them off to distraction-less perfection doesn't it. We are going away again for about 10 days as from this coming Monday so who knows - I might even have a photo or two to show the world when we return! Until then, take care and all best wishes, Peter

Hello Rod, Thank's for the G/B entry on Spain. the weather was great, but I left my Camera in the hotel, put it somewhere, and thought it had been pinched. was not bothered, as it was only my Olympus. I found it when I was ready to come home. Wanted to go on the Cable Car, but it was closed anyway. You have a beautiful album here Rod. Great photos, You are like me I don't know what some Flowers are called either. Thanks for sharing. Ray and Eileen. (UK)

Dear Chris, I wondered what you had been upto recently but the weather has been less than inspiring to get out and about with a camera recently hasn't it. I'm not sure which ones are the new ones in here so I enjoyed seeing them all again. I particulally like your cover shot and also the two little golden wonders too. Hope you are keeping well, take care now Jill

Hi Rod and I'm glad to see that so many of our Webshots community feel the same as I do about this album of yours, which is very well deserving of all the praise it is attracting. Also it was very good of you to look at my Kingdom of the Karri album and to write such kind words in the GB. We have a certain affinity for that area - do you get that same feeling about certain places? Places that seem to keep calling you back? We'll be back down there later in the year, for sure. Hope all is well - I saw on TV that the south west was getting snowed on so I hope it is not affecting you too much - maybe it is just Dartmoor that's getting it? 38 deg C here today - again. Was likewise pretty well all the time we were away and certainly ever since we've been back. Cheers for now and we'll catch up again before too long. All the best, Peter

I know very little about flowers and to me it's a pain to try and name them all! Thanks for sharing this beauty and your talent with us all...take care...Darlene

Hi Rod! You have a wonderful eye for the colour and beauty of flowers and you have proved that you can add interesting titles without knowing the names of the flowers! Well done! You have been well rewarded for your efforts to get depth in the Dahlias at #1 & #4. Thankyou for sharing this wonderful album. Gladys, Western Australia.

Hi Rod, beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I defy anybody not to see the beauty here, I have been taking scores of pics of flowers lately but find it dificult to find the right compositions, yours are always so perfect, so I shall have to study and learn from artists like you. just beautiful Rod, take good care my friend and keep the clicking finger working Ken

Hi Rod, Hey, some flowers just stand right out and give out the name without you knowing it! I wouldn't worry about grabbing names out of a book, most of these most already know. A real nice album, plenty of colors and if you're experiencing these already, its warmer where you live than it is here, that's for sure! Best regards to you and yours. Ron/Oregon Coast

Hi Rod, thank you very much for you kind words in my featured album of Anemones about two weeks ago. I very much appreciate your compliments! I think I've never written in your guestbooks, but I know most of your album quite well. This one is new to me, even it is an Oldie. Actually I know your scenery albums much better than the others. But these flowers are AMAZING. The colors, the deep of a picture, the composition. Your macros leave me speechless! Your captions make the album a journey through flower-wonder-land. The crocuses field and the and that amazing view of lots of red poppies are my favorites. Okay, the cover picture, too and the English rose and ...and... and... there is no end in the line of my favorites. Rod, it was a pleasure to visit here! Have a wonderful day, too! Galit from Israel

Hello Rod, Thanks for your kind comments in my Riot of Colour album. I have only just started trying to do macros - most of them are dismal failures but have a couple in my Macros album that I am quite pleased with. If I get these mediocre results with my humble Fuji Finepix, just think what you'll achieve with your Nikon plus macro lens! I'll be watching out for your Macro album! Best wishes, Mandy

It is the middle of our 2nd driest winter ever here at the moment and this album is a real pick me up. Lovely blooms, colour and compositions. Hope to be back snapping soon, stiches are all out at last, just need to get muscles working and strengthened. Your many glowing compliments are very much appreciated.
