Album Description:
These last 2 weeks of this summer I spent taking photos of this warm coloured sunflower which, as soon as they are hit by the warm sunlight, attract so many bees, and occasionally a butterfly. All photos are taken with my new camera, Sony Dsc-H1

Hello Els, yuo have created a masterpiece with this fabulous album. The colours lift the spirit, and your technique is an inspiration. Wonderful work done well. Many thanks for your comment on my Loverly Lizards. I will add more comments and photos when Webshots is working as it should. Best wishes from Keith in Sydney.

Hi Els, A positively outstanding album! I love every single one of these images, from the extreme close-ups to those in which the bright yellow flower contrasts against the darkened background. A work of art! Greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. Thank you for your very kind words today on my Las Vegas album. That picture of Bora is one of my all-time favorites. I still don't know how it came out as sharp as it did - It was indoors late in the afternoon and the light was fairly dim. I used a 70-300mm zoom at its maximum reach and with only about an f/8 opening at that range. In addition, I hadn't brought my tripod and had mostly dirty glass between him and me. I almost didn't take the shot, but I thought I would waste about a dozen frames and two came out fairly well. This one was the only one in which he seemed to be looking straight at me. I was very lucky that day.

Dear Els, thank you so much for your lovely g/b entries! I loved to hear from you again. Glad you liked my fall album. I'll try to add some more pics before all the leaves are fallen. What a great album you have here! You are really talented with your new camera. Beautiful photos indeed, I love the close-ups. My very favourites are 30,35 and 56. Amazing beauty! Thanks for sharing, I wish you the happiest weekend, take care, hugs, your friend Salla

Hi Els! Sunflowers always make a bright and cheerful album and you have captured wonderful shades of yellow here to brighten up my evening. Well done! It is strange, but you must have been viewing my Wildflowers at the same time as I was viewing your Flowers yesterday. Thankyou for your kind words in my guestbook and yes, I believe that Everlastings and Straw Flowers are the same thing. I have noticed that Webshots members from European countries call them Straw Flowers. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

Hi Els, what a super album, I have ordered a book of all insects and butterflies as I seem to be for ever photographing them and not knowing what they are, so many visit this wonderful sunflower, and I must say very clear results, did you use macro and a tripod to get them, I have to or my hand shakes with excitment if it is a variety that I have not got, nice Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly. Would you believe I watched a spider build a web to day but dare not take pics they would never be as good as yours. take care now and good hunting Ken PS by the way I have an album about "The Eden Project" if you want to have a look.

What a cheerful and delightful album. The photos are so bright and beautiful. I have downloaded a few to enjoy as screensavers for when we are in the midst of winter here. It seems that many insects enjoy visiting sunflowers. Our grandchildren tried to grow 2 sunflower plants this past summer. Unfortunately the racoons ate the heads off the flowers when they were still very underdeveloped. The twins were heart broken, but there is always next year to try again. Thank you for this lovely album. You and your new camera take great photos. Sandie/Canada

Hi Els, thanks for visiting my Nature album and for your kind comment in the gustbook. Thanks also for your invitation to visit your new album. I really love those sunflowers and the way you pictured them. You created a very beautiful album painted in yellow and full of life thanks to the bees, snails and other insects. You're invited to take a look at my Insects album. I hope you'll like it. Take care, Yair.

Prachtige en vooral zonnge opnames Els. Vooral "The best spot" is een hele mooie macro-opname. "Cherised by the sun" geeft echt dat heerlijke zonnige gevoel weer en daarmee mijn favoriet uit dit album. Veel plezier met de nieuwe camera. Groetjes, Diana.

Hallo Els! Sind wir wirklich die ersten, die dein wunderbares Album entdecken dürfen? Welche Pracht, all die goldenen Blüten!
