Mobile Alabama celebrated its Tricentennial on July 4 2002 with a Parade of Sail. Fourteen tall ships came up Mobile Bay to dock at the foot of Government St. This album shows the trek up the Bay.

    • Beautiful album!!! Tall Ships have come up to Lake Michigan many times and can you believe I missed them every time! I love ships, well, as you can tell from my website. There is something almost majestic about a sailing ship that lacks in a motorized one. Went on a short cruise on the aircraft carrier Enterprise a decade ago - lovely trip. The ship was so huge you could not tell it was moving unless it made a dramatic turn. Our Lake Michigan can get quite choppy at times. Best regards, DeeAnne :)
