Beautiful Album! These flowers look like they'd dry well, do they?

I love these flowers. I have a basketful of them which my daughter gave me several years ago, and they are still fresh. Lovely captures, beautiful colours, a most enjoyable album. Hugs, Sheila

I liked thses too. I noticed that you said you liked Ice Age II. I loved the first one, haven't seen the II, but will get the DVD. I liked Cars--it starts slow, but has a great ending.

I like your photos!! I have made many dried flower arrangements with Strawflowers. They are so beautiful and keep their colors so well when dried. Marlis in Alberta

Dear Galit, in my home country these flowers were used for the arrangements around winter celebrations, always keeping their shape and colours. I don't know why I always thought of them as "painted" flowers! You did them honour with these macros very beautifully shots! Thanks for coming around to so many of my albums and to the one featured at the end of September. I appreciate your kind attention! Best regards from Gabriela in Japan

Hi Galit, I did not know they call these strawflowers immortelle, but the name is logical, because you can dry these flowers and make very nice arrangement with them and enjoy them this way for a long long time. I did grow them from seed in my vegetable garden 2 years ago. I love the pictures you made, nrs. 6 and 9 are so beautiful; and nr. 16 is awesome and definitely my favourite. Thanks Galit for your nice words in the guestbook of Roses and The making of.. Warm greetings, Els (wely246/evanwely)

Hi Galit, thanks a lot for fixing my mistake with identifying the cactus. Indeed I ignored the leaves... However, the reason I identified it as Epyphyllum Laui is this picture that I found in the Internet which is identical to mine: http://www.wheatoncollege.edu/academic/academicdept/biology/greenhouse/Photos/epiphylum_laui.jpg As for your 'hint' regarding the yellow star - I find it better to create many small sites, each having four albums. Usually I publish all of them at once and that's why you feel that whenever you discover a new site of mine it's already full. Shana Tova, Yair.

Hi Galit, I believe I solved the mystery and managed to identify the cactus I asked you about. I released four new albums to welcome the new year. you're invited to take a look. Happy New Year, Yair.

WOW Galit!! These Strawflower shots are just stunning. I didn't even know they were up your new albums. No popup, yet it has for Yoav. mmmm Webshots!! I absolutely adored the album. Absolutely a cl####ic of yours again and love them all, but I did particularly like, Like Stars in the Night, Leaving home, Not yet ready to leave & Unfolding to a new day. The last 2 are just gorgeous and their names are so befitting. How wonderful. You have done an excellent job my dear friend and I just absoltuely adore this, another of your magic that you capture with flowers. BREATHTAKING and magical softness. I was excited to see 2 new flower albums up. Straw flowers are just such a delicate array of beauty and tk you soo much for sharing another of your fantastic albums. Take care and have a really great day...Luv & big hugs....Em

My oh my Galit but you have surp####ed even yourself with this album. Superb photographs and I lingered over every one.As Gladys says, you must have a very similar climate to us because so many of these flowers are familiar even to me. Very well done young lady and I have a sneaking feeling that this might result in a feature for you! Love and hugs, Peter

Galit, Wow what a strangley wonderful flower! Number 2 is my favorite. You did a super job composing the images and the colors are very vibrant. Google.com provides a language translation that is very fun. That is how I translated from English to German. Pretty nifty to say the least. Give it a try and thanks for visiting! Eti

Hi Galit! Enjoyed this delightful album too -- wonderful close-ups!! Your climate must be very similar to ours as you grow so many of the same flowers. Every one of these Everlastings has been captured beautifully by your expertise with the camera. Well done and thankyou for sharing.. Gladys, Western Australia.

Hallo Galit!

These are All So Gorgeous Galit!! Brillant Colors, Unique Shapes and of Course, Great Captures to Compliment All Their Beauty!! Love the Collection, but Surely you have More to add?? Wonderful Views, Thanks for Sharing!!! My pics of my workshop are from my previous residence...kind of a place to escape and relax while woodworking. I've only built furniture for my wife's cl####room, but moved 2 years ago and haven't had time to reestablish a new place to get my hands on sawdust, hehe! I found a pick of my office building next to the Superdome..megs29 has it in capture #16 of the storm coverage, it it situated to just left of the dome(light pink building)! Here is the url: http://community.webshots.com/photo/441643805/441648328filTio About 50% of the windows were taken out by flying debris..could be another 2-3 months before we can make it operational again! Thanks for the Interest and for Your Kind Comments! And Yes, You are a Wonderful Photographer Galit whom I Admire and try to emulate Your Artwork Successes!!! Now, Stay Sweet Granny, Enjoy those Blessings and Keep On Shooting My Friend!!!!!!!!!!! GB, Ted

Hello Grannie, Real nice pictures, straw flowers to me without all that Latin falterol I had to almost memorize when back in school...now its been a long time ago, so I go by the senses, in this case, sight. Your closeups are more than beautiful and your last picture tells alot without words. Now, what's this I hear about swimming lessons? I'm thinking its never too young to try. Thank you for your email and your comments. Got behind a bit with this new job and I'm trying to catch up once again. It will settle down in a bit, then I'll have time to catch you and yours on a regular schedule. You do have my best regards. Appreciate your thoughts. The southern Oregon coast is now clear of fog at this writing. Ron
