  • Jim, you have an awesome pond! I have stolen a few ideas to spruce up ours. I have been looking for a cut and hold pruner like the one you describle as one of your favorite pond toys. What is the brand? Where did you purchase it?? Your assistance is much appreciated.

  • Thanks Jim. I like vey much your idea of veggie filter and also the plants in your pond. I learn a lot about build and maintenance a pond from your pictures. Roger,Shanghai, China

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now I can show my husband the work you have accomplished and the results you have obtained. Absolutely delightful. I truly do appreciate the photos since it is a visual display of your pond and it's maintenance. I have already shared your work with several friends. Whoever stated that "a picture is worth a thousand words", knew what he was talking about! Sir Wilfred Grenfell stated:"Real joy comes not from ease or riches from the praise of men, but from doing something worthwhile." Thanks for caring enough to share. I am so anxious for spring to arrive so that we can play in the soil. At this moment in time, we have approximately three feet of snow. It permits us to plan our pond. We truly do appreciate your photography and your willingness to share. gaildbm,Manitoba, Canada.

  • Thank you for sharing all those photos & info on building & maintaining a pond. Is your son still "the pondguy"? If you spend 3 to 4 hours a week on the pond, added to the time to maintain the pool & spa, you must spend quite a bit of time 'in the wet'! But it's a lovely & inviting oasis. I realy enjoyed my visit.
