Excellent album about a part of Americana that sometimes goes largely ignored. As a child I am sure that when we went on vacation from Houston to Utah we most likely passed by these abandoned buildings. Thanks too for visiting my Homestead album. Each year we wonder if the winter snow will totally collapse the home that my great grandfather built.

Hello again Charlotte, popped across from your featured album in my other name as barns & old buildings are worth looking at anytime! Splendid set of photos. I was so impressed with what I saw on our tours of USA that I set out to record an album of our English barns. mostly being built with brick or stone they are now rapidly being converted to houses. managed to capture a few before they all dissapear. G'day Charlotte and thank you for a look at some intriguing old buildings - what a great album. Those buildings must have so many stories twined around their beams and brickwork - you've done a great job capturing them as you have. My favourite is Waving Goodbye - talk about a last hurrah - I was almost holding my breath as I looked at it hoping it hangs on a bit longer - the line of the roof sure does look just like a wave! I look forward to seeing more. Cheers, Lorraine - Australia

Hi Charlotte! I always enjoy this type of album as Old Buildings always hold a fascination for me. So pleased that you have preserved the memories of these old places with your camera. Well done! Thankyou for your kind words on my Australia Day album. It was good fun making the collages. Best wishes. Gladys, Western Australia.

Hello Charlotte, you did a great job photographing these old structures. I liked each and every one of them. If they could only speak! They should have a lot to tell us. Thanks for sharing and I am sorry that it took a while before I had the time to visit you, but due to the many reactions I got on being featured, I could not get to you sooner. I did appreciate your reaction on the Autumn Delight album very much. Greetings from Holland, Els (wely246/evanwely)

Hello Charlotte, I wanted you to know how much I love the photographs you have placed in this album. As you know, barns and photography in general are two of my favorite things. I apologize for not noticing this extremely high quality set of photographs before now. Your refined sense of composition, color, texture, and your eye for interesting subject matter is summed up in one photograph that is my favorite. It is the one called "Station Closeup". Keep up the wonderful work and thank you for listing me as a favorite member of yours. Bill Cable (heyburn3)

I love photos of "old" things. Just by looking at them you can see they have a story to tell. I think I have to say that I like your photo of the "abandoned" outhouse the best. You just know there had to be a house near by at some point. Isn't it funny the house is gone but they left the outhouse? Thanks for sharing. Connie from Ohio

Hello from the San Antonio area, your album on the old barns is great. A few of them looks like the old barns we had at the ranch years ago. Hope your feeling better soon. Richard

Hi CHar, Long time no hear from you. So sorry about your illness. Now to the pix ---- I absolutely LOVED them. Those are exactly the kinds of pix I hope to get when I retire and have more time to myself...when I don't have to do the work that pays the mortgage, that is! I really loved your clever captions, especially "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore." Very, very nice album. Love 'n hugs from Kat in Pennsylvania
