This is a very special album.I really loved viewing it. I was surprised to see so many of the same vegetables and flowers that grow in gardens here. I don't have a vegetable garden any more. We don't get enough sun in our yard. I try to grow pumpkins and squash, I train them to grow on a fence where they can get more sun. One of the twins just loves blackberries or any fruit. Many blackberries grow wild here. Last summer we went blackberry picking almost every day. Hana,(Age 2) ate so many blackberries,I worried that she would have a tummy ache. She was always fine, and ready for more the next day. When they were finished for the season, she couldn't understand why. This album makes me want to get busy in the garden. It is still too early here. Thank you for your very nice letter in my "Flowers and Friends" album. I have opened a "Grandchildren" album. If you are interested please take a look. Hi Els, this is such a beautiful album! I think, a vegetable garden has so much beauty to offer. The flowers are not to bright, but very special too! The Leek balls look gorgeous and those pumpkins look so . . .tasty!! The Garlic has beautiful flowers and I really would like some of those blackberries or strawberries! Thanks for looking at my grandsons album. I find myself all the time photographing his tiny feet. I am happy you liked the one with the feet in my sons hand. It's THE one I like more than the others! Hi Els and that strawberry looks absolutely delicious. I have a very soft spot for strawberries but we don't seem to have all that much luck when it comes to growing them ourselves. Thanks for your entry in my latest guest book and I note that you are retiring from work at the end of the week. I wish you a very long and happy retirement and can tell you that in reality work is just about to begin!! Looking at your garden I can see that you treat it liberally with manure, fertilisers etc and can understand why it is going to take up a large part of your time - but it will be wonderful to live an open air life instead of being confined to an office. Dit album van jou geeft mij ook van die nostalgische gevoelens, mijn man had jaren een landje, tot hij er geen tijd meer voor had, maar je fruit en bloemen doen me er met een beetje heimwee aan denken. Guten Tag Els! Eben habe ich dieses schöne Gartenalbum entdeckt! Du scheinst eine ausgezeichnete Gärtnerin zu sein, so herrliche Gemüse und Früchte und dazu viel Blumenschmuck! In die Erdbeere in Nr 42 möchte man am liebsten gleich dreinbeissen! Als Tierliebende haben wir natürlich Freude an der hübschen Kröte (oder Frosch?), das sind auch sehr gute Aufnahmen!
