Hello Kaethi and Henri, What a wonderful way to get plants from other places and grow them yourselves, They seem to thrive down there in the SW of France, Your petunia's are looking good as indeed mine are this year, the best they have been for a long time,, I am haveing trouble with adding to my albums they let me add the photo's but does not upgrade the date, so nobodyknows that there are some add ons, that has happened twice over the last three days. I have added several more shots to my insect album, but it has not recorded the new date, I like the idea of bringing seeds from your holidays and then planting them, Thanks for shareing and good hunting for some more dragonflies, as always your friend Ken

Hello Henri und Kaethi, As usual you've made an album from which I can learn a lot about the French flora and in this case also about the Arizona flora. My favorites are the Pincushion Cactus. Your balcony looks very pretty! Herzliche Grusse, Tjebbe

Hi Kaethi and Henri! Your flowers are so pretty and the catci just gorgeous. I am amazed that catcus from AZ will grow in your area of France, but you two probably add your special touch to them and treat them with loving care! Your balcony is so pretty. Glad your album was showing up--there has been a lot of problems going on with Webshots for several days. Lots of hugs and love, Sharon

Hi Kaethi and Henri, What a great idea to take the seeds from Arizona in the U.S, and from from places in Europe, and plant them in boxes on your balcony! I can't imagine how you get the Arizona seeds to blossom in France, but you've done a great job of it. I love the Cactuses of that area, especially the Saguaro. Did you know they are protected by law in Arizona? If a person what to build in the desert, they cannot destroy the Saguaro. They must get permission, and then dig it up and replant it. They grow in a very limited area, and must have the protection. I love all your petunias. I tried to grow a variety of plant inside, this spring and only the Hollyhocks survived. A beautiful album, dear friends. I also want to thank you for your kind words in my Lake Superior album and Clarence is delighted that you wrote so nicely in his. He is trying out his new camera, and the pics are a lot better. Love you very much, dear friends. Sharon

Hi Kaethi and Henri! I can't find any new pictures in this album, but please let me know if you added some today! I think my mind is losing it!!! :-)) I still love the way you two got the catcus to grow from seeds all the way from Arizona. :-)) Have a great day and we'll talk to you when we get back from Louisville. Lots of hugs and love, Sharon

Hi Henri & Kaethi! You must be geniuses to grow cacti from seeds! They are so beautiful and I would love to see the desert in bloom. I am always amazed at the beauty of cacti blossoms! Your petunias are so lovely and colorful! I hope you are staying cool. It has been hot here and very dry but we are able to run sprinklers so our yard and flowers are still alive thank goodness. Take good care of yourselves! Hugs and much love! Jane

A bientôt, Llum

Hi Kaethi & Henri.. I love the colourful Cacti Flowers and you amaze me that you can grow them so far from their natural home in Arizona. You did well to raise them from such tiny seeds. Your petunias are stunning and I think your balcony must be the prettiest in your street. Thankyou for your kind words and I am pleased you enjoyed my latest album. Gladys, Western Australia.

Hello Kaethi and Henri, while viewing this astonishing album and reading that you raised the cactus from seeds (and in France), the words "GREEN THUMBS" sprang to mind. Then I remembered a story I heard as a child that a florist in New York who raised/sold cactus was asked her secret -"simple" she said "just take an Arizona news paper and water only when the paper reports rain". Could this also be your secret? I also wish to thank you for reviewing my "Balloon04" album and sending me encouraging comments.

Hi Kaethi and Henri...thanks for your kind comments in my album recently. Love this album, don't know how I missed it. Love the pincushion and the datura. Such beautiful flowers. Amazing something so prickly can bear such gorgeous blossoms. Can't believe you grew them from seeds!!! How long did they take? Sure the Datura didn't take long but the pincushion? Looks so healthy and lovely. All of the flowers are beautiful. Take care my dear friends, hugs..Sharon

Michel
