I am going to miss you greatly, that's for sure, but I hope to get the odd email from time to time with news of your travels around this vast and wonderful country. Hi Em@ Thank you for your kind words. Are you going to be traveling or what? I also have dear Aussie friends who came to visit me about four years ago. The photo Storm, by the way, is my fondest feline friend. She passed away in April of this year! I had her for 12 wonderful years, and she is already missed greatly. Hi Em, sorry for keeping you waiting! My PC did not 'feel well'! They fixed it, but it kept me some weeks off the net! I actually have about 3000 slides that I am gradually working through - scanning the ones I like and wondering how I could ever have taken some of the others. The rock you thought you had seen recently was the same one that was in my John Forrest National Park album. Very observant of you ma'am - the artist in you no doubt. I also put another album up in my new site and I called it I Was There when.... to show the value of always having a camera on hand. So you might be heading to Sydney eh? Hi Em! Couldn't resist another look at this charming album and those lovely yellow daisies, beautifully compiled with your loving words. Thankyou too for viewing my new album and for all your kind words. I had just picked up my camera after having warranty repairs and it was a perfect day for photography. Went to the nearest park with a half-charged battery and not as much memory card as I could have used. Everyone seems to like the results and my head is swelling with all the praise. Every time I go to Perth on the Bus, I pass that park, but this is the first time I have actually walked down there. It is so beautiful and even though the Freeway passes so close, it is hard to realise that all this tranquility is so close to the CBD! Hope to return there soon. Hi Em, thank you for your lovely messages. I am happy you liked that recent cover picture of Yoav's album. My daughter took that shot. I am not used to see myself in pictures. Usually I take the pictures! Yes, Yoav IS a treasure and he is growing much too fast!! I barely see him! My daughter always said, I should look at him NOT ONLY though the camera lens! :-) But they are always happy to get some new photos. About the blue light, - I usually miss the sunrise and will not be out to explore that phenomenon. But it is truly amazing! Yesterday I missed an unique shot! You always talk about your car, but a car like that one yesterday I haven't seen in my life! A green car(!) with lawn on it's roof with flower pots all around, driving slowly though my town. I'll never leave my camera at home again. I have a lot of pictures to load up, cacti, frangipanis and a green album, but somehow I am under the impression, that my PC is much slower after the last visit at the PC-clinic. Upload is nearly impossible. But I will find that bug!! How did your fog pictures turn out. Em I hope you are fine. Good day young lady and very many thanks for your usual flattering comments in my Yanchep National Park guest book. I thought you would like the koalas - they are our local resident colony and grave fears were held for them at the time of the January bush fire. However, the rangers were able to direct a continuous supply of water to the tree tops and this saved them. Although they live in the National Park they are not in captivity but they do lead a comfortable life with medical attention on hand whenever it is required and a constant supply of fresh gum leaves on all of the scores of such trees in their area. When Eti put my photo in her album I came across yours and my first thought was WOW! What a beauty!Coupled with a sudden wish that I was 25 years younger!! LOL Any word on all the tests your son has had? I hope to goodness he is OK. I don't like it when out of the blue they tell you to go for blood tests, ultra sounds, etc. I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you all. Now its time I was getting tea ready (Betty rather liked the idea of being waited on foot and mouth while her wrist was crook and somehow the idea seems to have stuck) Catch you again. Leaving us on Tuesday are you? I bet you are finally starting to get excited at the prospects of the BIG adventure ahead of you. Let's hope it all goes well with no hiccups and that you have the time of your life. No doubt you'll be popping into Internet cafes along the way and will be able to keep us up to date with your goings-on (well, those that are fit for publication, that is - you can tell me privately the others!!! LOL) Thanks for all your kind words over many months and your enthusiasm sure is infectious. Now all I hope is that you have plenty of flash cards and a never ending supply of battery power. Just a tip from my travelling days - try to avoid buying petrol on the major highways. They charge an arm and a leg so if time permits fill up in the back streets of the towns. That'll save yer! You know where to find us if ever your wheels get you over this side of the continent. Take care, avoid all the multanovas and other assorted radar traps and maybe we'll catch up with you some time.
