Dear Yoshiyuki, thank you very much for your very kind words in my 'April in Quebec City'. Maybe you will like 'Old Quebec City Revisited'. And thank also your friend Ina for me. This album: GARDENS IN JAPAN: Kamo Iris Nurseries is very well done work and I'm sure it will be featured for all the photos are better than the others. Most of them are winners. You photographed the irises fields very well even though it was raining, I know it is harder when the weather is bad but it didn't affect the colours. And the japanese house and garden, that I love so much the style for the simplicity and peacefulness. Thank you for sharing with us the great sight and have a wonderful day. Yan/Ottawa

Hi Yoshiyuki, Thanks to you and Gabriela for sending me the invitation to view this lovely album. The Iris is my second favorite flower, next to the Rose. I downloaded a lot of these photos. The Iris are so beautiful and special, with the raindrops on them. What a great job of photograpy. The Main House and the Main Hall were extremely interesting. A lot of old history there. #87, the Lacecap Hydrangea, are supurb. I had never seen them before and they really are special. #19, could be names Fields of Iris, Sea of Umbrellas. Wonderful photo. My favorites, and it was very difficult to pick favorites, are 15,16,19,26,37,41,51 and 87. I'm so happy that I could see this. I agree, that it will probably be a featured album, and should be. Dear Yoshiyuki & Gabriela! Thank you very much for your invitation. I have always have a strange feeling for the name Iris. I love this name. When a girl has her name Iris, I imagine she must be very pretty??? Similarly I have this strange love of another name Rosemary ... beautiful rosees you have! So, as I see all these beautiful Iris one by one ... I'm imagining ... pretty girls keep passing by. TOO PERFECT! But please don't tell this to my wife (her name is Doris!!!) HAHAHAHAHA! The second thing, you visited this beautiful nursery garden during a typhoon, this is surely a wonderful experience, and in this album, I see your talent of having "typhoon shots"! HEHE! Holding the camera still, wind and rain keep showing their power, the flowers keep" "dancing", yet all their vivid colours were not blown away. I always thought of going out to take some pictures in the typhoons, but you know this is quite risky and dangerous! I see that your typhoon at that time might not be that powerful, and you have taken such a good chance. CONGRATULATIONS to you! Thank you for all these perhaps some of the most beautiful typhoon shots in the world. Thank you to Gabriela for her nice compliments to my window shots (Oh absolutely not those Windows 98 or XP)! My sincere appreciation and warmest regards to you, dear friends! CS

Hello Yoshiyuki and Gabriela!! I am in awe of the talent you both have to bring us such beauty to view. I have never seen irises like the ones in your album and would love to be able spend time in this gorgeous place. I have downloaded several of these beauties to enjoy them at leisure. Best regards to both of you,...Trudy-Oregon

Hello Yoshiyuki and Gabriela - this is a beautiful album. It was already on my list to view but with my recent feature I've gotten a little behind in my webshots viewing! Thank you for the kind invitation, it hastened my visit to this magical place. Even in rain these flowers are lovely, perhaps even more so. It's interesting to see them with their petals bent downwards from the rain instead of standing straight up - a completely different appearance and quite beautiful. I especially like the "portraits", my favorites being #12 and 18 - both would be wonderful paintings. And "Walking in the Rain" is adorable. Warm greetings from California to you both, Beth

Yoshiyuki and Gabriela, This is a breath-taking album full of drama and immediacy. The Iris were wonderfully photographed and the Architecture of the farm/nursery was a welcom interest that you added as a break to the walk in the rain. It is in the 90s here and the ilusion of a rainy day is complete and refreshing. Thanks, Darrell/NM

Oh goodness, what a remarkable album! I don't think I would be nearly as enchanted with these gardens if you had photographed them in the sun. I think they are so extra beautiful with "heavens tears" on them! I chose many favorites and so I will only tell you which ones I downloaded already (I couldn't wait till I had written you to download some of these beautiful flowers.) So far, I have chosen #1, 39, 45, 61, 62, 65 and 88. Thank you for braving the typhoon to bring all of us on Webshots so much enjoyment! Sending My Love and Hugs to both of You, Candy

Hello again Yoshiyuki, & yes I did enjoy this album as you probably knew I would. They are quite magical in their short season. I only have one of this type in my garden that is called "Ensata" my soil is too dry for them. The berded iris are more popular here for that reason. Eric

Mr. Tanaka, Wonderful work, please pat yourself on the back for me too, Sir!! Downloaded five beauties, blues, pinks, yellows and a bit of a monsoon all rolled up into many. I don't miss the monsoons, thank you very much!! Japan has much of the lush greens, quite beautiful everywhere. I enjoyed my stay while I was there years ago. Thank you again for your invitation to this album and to your wonderful way of collecting beauty. Finally enjoying the summer sun without the rain on the Oregon Coast. Ron

Hello Yoshiyuki, I came to this album and as it is 1:30 am I regretfully have to leave it for tomorrow. With this kind of priceless flowers and photography I can not rush through...that would be a sin. Therefore I will return tomorrow and choose my favorites. It will be a difficult task. Iris are fantastic flowers and I had them also but not these bearded ones. For now I only can say THANK YOU. kathy

Thank you for the lovely photographs I viewed that you took of irises (and hydrangea). I very much enjoyed the high quality photographs you took and the beauty of your subject. I am an artist who loves to paint irises and the colors of yours will influence my painting in the future. I appreciate your talent behind the camera, you have a professional "eye" for picture taking.

Can't believe I am first to congratulate you Yoshiyuki, WS must be holding out in entering our comments again. Just hope you get this. Your album is stunning! I have a real love for Iris and my favorite are the Japanese Iris, even though they are so hard to grow here in Oregon I keep trying. The varity in these gardens is fantastic. Your photos are beautiful and you captured so many wonderful closeups... My favorite shot though is #41 it captured the surrounding beauty of the mountains and the beautiful flowers as well. I need to visit you more often, sorry I haven't, How wonderful that you and Gabriela share the love of photography together. Take care and hugs for both of you. Laura

Dearest Friends, So many featured albums are the proof that Your are Masters in this loved domain of shoting flowers! I envy You and more with my last Bagatelle album not working well in the view by view with previous and next tabs giving the same picture and also with the fact that just after posting my Butchard album, that is another Butchard album which hzs been featured; Here I love the wet ambiance as I am a Fish (zodiacal sign); As You love details of the preferred images (difficult to select), I should say that I love for special atmosphere 6 and 24 (a dream of serenity for me, a place to fall in contemplation!), for quality shots and composition 14, 16, 18, 53, 55 (perfect composition), 58 (sharp subject in an infinite foggy view), 66, and for colours, subject & textures 1, 35, 36, 38, 42, 49, 59, 72 & 78; All my congratulations, Jacques

Dear Yoshiyuki ( hope I got the spelling right) a heartfelt congratulations on this so wonderful work of you with Gabriela. As many of your admirers I love Irises and you did an outstanding work with this incredible collection. Although sun always adds beauty to a photograph in this case the rain added the mystical touch and made your work more interesting. Also the duplicated and triplicated entries here are showing how all your friends wanted to congratulate you and how bad WS works. But there is no other choice we have to live with it. Once more a STANDING OVATION for your wonderful display. Warm hugs, kathy (with no albums because of a psycopat who attacks my guestbooks with lewd entries)

I have enjoyed your pictures of the iris and the water lilies. Are the iris a bulb or a tuber. I would love to grow some of the iris. Is there any stores in the US that sell them? Each one is prettier than the next. I live in North East Florida and have a collection of Cactus Orchids and since we do get some frost I have them in a home made greenhouse, Where do you live? I am marking your homepage to look at more and download them on my screen saver. Thanks for sharing. Jen

Mr. Tanaka, The Wonderful Beauty of Flowers, a nice opening for a morning album over breakfast. Flowers are gorgeous, you make the flowers stand out and sing songs of beauty everywhere. Appreciate the close-ups of the interior building practices, the fields of color and the striking GREENS. Sure like your style. Say hello to Gabriela for me, please. Best regards from a rainy Oregon Coast. Ron

Superb album, Yosituki, and well deserved feature! This album is so artistic, I love everything about it! Your irises and waterlilies are superb, each one on its own, with dew, great macro photography, impossible to pick one over the other, superb colors and great explanations! Wonderful architectural details, both exterior, and interior! But most of all I love the field scenes, they seem out of a dream! The rain adds a beautiful atmosphere, and the people with umbrellas are such a novel and unique image for this album of yours, I can't say enough of how much I enjoyed seeing them! They remind me of the classical Hiroshige drawings, indeed, they are splendid! #40 is my favorite! I'm stil having trouble seeing some of the pictures, unfortunately, they don't all come up in full size. Nevertheless, I think this album is very beautiful, superb quality and compositions, and very unique! My best compliments, Ina
