What a wonderful album of your beautiful roses. I had about 45 in my garden in the ' 50s to late '70s and think I recognise some of yours. I miss the yellow and the pink climbing roses I had growing over the seperate garage very much. Thank you for sharing. Ray

Hi Ken....Tk you soo much for the beautiful rose...and what an album of beauties!!..These surely don't all grow in your garden.., but after seeing the Roses in Melbourne last year...nothing would surprise me about the cooler weather. They are all just magic..and a shame that they haven't mastered the scent thing yet with the Roses over the net..lol!! Hi Carolynn and Ken. Margaret Says thank you for the surprise it made her day and cheered her up no end, after an op last week she has been a bit down. Thanks for the comments about the kingfisher, you will see if you look there is another one taken at 5.30am and also Juvenile pied woodpecker, not good as I did have to shoot into the light, and it was in a tree some 50 yards away. Whilst in the camera shop the other day I met a guy told me where there is a heronry on the river and also a private wildlife reserve, which he said he will show me around any time I want to go. I will defiantly be taking him up on that offer. He by the way is a professional wild life photographer and also says any help and knowledge that he can pass on he will do so for free Take care, Bye for now Paul and Margaret.

Hello Carolynn and Ken I was wonder which of your albums to answer you about the heron and the mink saga. Well last week I was visiting the lake where most of my heron photos were taken when their was one hell of a commotion resulting in two herons taking off from the shore line as one did something seemed to drop off its leg and into the water, I am pretty certain it was a mink. The water bailiff was telling me they allow the mink to breed as they keep the rat population down, but unfortunately they are known to attack other wild life. Yes we do live on the edge of the washlands and that is the way we hope it stays, in the past where we are has become part of it. This great album it is now one of my wife Margaret’s favourites there seems to be a shortage of roses growers around in this area. If you have time please go back to my washlands and River wildlife album as I manage to get some pictures of kingfishers, they are not good as I had a problem with the contrast I will however try again. I must also congratulate you on the album’s you have had featured as I have not done so before. Wishing you all the best. Paul.

Hi Carolynn & Ken, I did go trough the whole album again yesterday. It is so gergeous. The new ons you put on are beautiful. But I still like "Heidi's Rose" in most. Thanks for viewing my fishing album. Your right one of the fish [the little one] is a Tuna. The other is a Dorado. In Hawaii the call it Mahi-Mahi. There wasn't any campfires. We can't have campfires here for good reason.But we had had a fish fry from the grill. That isn't me with the camera. Thats Cindy. "Bubbas" mom. The big guy with the flashlight on #11 is Phil, my husband. Now some bad news. Sorry but I think you wan't to know. Hurrican Emily is coming our way. We are prepared for the worst. The forcast shows the landfall direct in our area with winds of 135 mi/h. If you look on the map you find Paamul 9 miles west of the island of Cozumel on the Yucatan Peninsula. We will evacuate tomorrow. Our Internet antenna will be dissambled. I don't know when I will be able to go on the net again. It could be weeks. Wish us luck. Big Bug-Hugs Heidi

Hi Ken, Awwwwwwwww I don't quite know what to say and I am really chuffed to be included in your roses album, you certainly do come up with some wonderful ideas :o) Hope you have had some of the wonderful weather we have been blessed with over the last few days, some would say too hot but you have to make the most of it. Hello Ken. I invite you to look at my new Flower album Part two, I think you will like it even better then my featured album Flower because it is 100% made of pictures taken with my new digital camera. My old cameras needed adjustments with the settings and it was too expensive to have them repaired so I prefered to make the jump into digital and I don't regret it a bit. This is a splendid and very well done album of roses that you made. I what a thoughtful and meaningful idea to dedicate them to webshots friends. My favourite is the pink rose #29.
