Dear Vera, I can't believe I haven't left a message here, because I know I saw these photos. Maybe it was some night when I fell asleep in my chair, and I thought I would come back again the next day. That happens sometimes. Hi Vera, I think I must be entering my second childhood, as these bears fascinate me just as much as when I was a young girl! I was never very keen on dolls, as in those days they were made of china, which was cold and unyielding and I always preferred my soft, cuddly toys. Although dolls are made of a variety of materials nowadays, I think that I would still be the same, if I were a child today. I also had two beautiful little hand-made Austrian Teddies - a little golden one and a little grey one - just the right size to sit in the palm of your hand. I liked the colour of the golden one better, but preferred the features of the grey one. I kept them as ornaments on my bureau-bookcase. At some point they vanished off the face of the earth. We have moved house a number of times and they must have been a casualty of one of the moves. I can still remember my Teddies clearly, but only one doll. I cannot remember actually having played with her. I was too preoccupied with all my stuffed animals.
