  • Dear Ken, What a beautiful album! I watched the slideshow and outside it is a dreay, depressing winter's day so it was nice to get lost in all this beauty and colour for awhile! A great collection of beautiful flowers, no wonder these are all favourites, a lot of them are mine as well. Have a wonderful weekend my friend! Hugs Leslie

  • Hi Ken: the 16 brandnew additions bring wonderful complements of what will be waiting for us in nature. Always good to remember in cold days and with poor vegetation that so exquisite nature wonders will await us! - Home from Geneva, we found also your kind comments in our "Christmas wishes..." - thank you! On our hand, we wish you and your family a very good year in all respects. Take care - keep up with your surprises!- Yours cordially: Kaethi and Henri

  • Hi Ken & Carolynn too ... Thank you for your answer to my sizing question - your plan makes sense in lots of ways. I am happy you enjoyed my 'Down Through the Years' album and yes, 46 years of marriage is a long time - we have been blessed! It has been boquets of 'roses' but as you know, roses have their thorns! (grin) ... I love this album of yours; there are too many to choose just one favo[u]rite, but I am partial to the lone Fuscia and the Runner Bean flower. ... Happy Sunday ... Judy / FL

  • This is the umpteenth time I have signed this GB and each time has been for some great additions. This time is no exception and it set me to thinking how many flowers grow well in both our countries, Cosmos, Dahlias, Impatiens, Begonias to name but a few. I'm not having much success in my experiments with Macro but will keep trying. Stick in there mate - you never know things might start to get better some day. MIGHT being the operative word!! Cya later Peter

  • Hi Ken, Lots of beautiful flowers! Tulips are some of my favorite flowers. I like their simple elegant shape and your yellow tulip is certainly one of my favorites in this collection. I also like the Japanese Cherry Blossoms. This variety seems to have far more pink that those in Washington, D.C. and a whole tree in bloom must be an incredible sight to behold. • Dear Ken, as informed by Laura, I've also read about your problems and fustrations about Webshots in Laura's GB ..... as one of the older members of WS (over 2 years), and I presume you won't feel bored, I'm happy to tell my experience to you. We are seeing WS is turning from one of the best websites to one of the worst and unfriendly websites. I believe this is because they don't want or they can't spare more money to improve their service. I had quitted for a period of time. I returned simply because of one word ... FRIENDS! Some of my other WS best friends had quitted for a long time. Your unhappy experience, my previous best friends and I had all experienced long time ago ... without notices, all these keeps happening ... completely disappeared albums and photos, no updating between My Photo page and Homepage, unreasonable and unacceptable re-arranging our albums, can't upload photos to our albums using WS software (no matter which version), dead slow in browsing photos ... We had even spreaded out and forwarded complaining and protesting messages and emails to lots and lots of WS members, and even directly sending to all available WS emails. At the end of the day, their single and simple reply ... WS won't change their policy. They're truly blind and deaf! If you can't accept all these, either you quit, or like me, and some other older members, keep staying together simply because of our best and close friends. We try our own way to tackle, just like I start clearly indicating my own date of newly updated album in my own way. Dear new friend, on and on, I'm happy to talk to you more and more, and this is one of the reasons why I try my best to keep my friends happy with my little CRAZY fun! Thank you very much for enjoying my little fun! Take Good Care! Best Regards from CS!

  • Hello Ken, First your flowers are beautiful and also great photos as well. I will give you a suggestion to your question from your entry in my album but not sure what exactly you are asking me about. First off sorry about all your WS problems. Did you install the new upgrade download found on the WS home page? Maybe this will help? I have noticed if you just edit one word in your captions now that your album is pulled from whatever it is in on the community page. Then that edit shows up for all your FAVORITE members to see on daily new photos. I find mistakes in my writing all the time and I am a bit of a profectionist..lol So it drives me crazy if I don't fix it. Now people like Al, your buddy...Ha! ask me what photo did just add when I didn't add any, just maybe edited one letter in a word thats all. I tested this by changing one word on my Fred and Ethel Dedicated album which I found as #1 in the bird section yesterday. After I made the edit to the word the album was pulled within minutes like I thought it would be. I'm courious to see if it ever returns as #1. Checked this morning it is still gone. This is well over the 1/2 hr it used to take for making edits to your album. They really have things messed up but what can we do. Take care, Laura

  • Very lovely flowers Ken and the photos of course are splendid, no wonder that they are your favorites. Thanks for visiting my "One is still one" and yes I took those shots at midnight in my garden, by morning the flowers close completely. I remember that night as a magic one, took like 40 shots of several blossoms which opened that night..was really exciting. The flowers in the night are almost unbelievable, pure enchantment. This is one of my favorite album...and a special thanks for noticing and liking it. Hugs, kathy
