Album Description:

These pics give me an idea of what life was like for ancestors. Think I was born 100 years to late, I love the simple lifestyle. Lived a mid-1800's life at the cabin and loved to find out what I could do, when I had to.

  • Thank you so much for sharing your pictures. I am born and bred around the areas of Bunker Hill, Staunton, St. Louis, especially Alton, IL. I lived through that terrible flood. I grew up in a small town that had a soda fountain so the pictures were a fond memory for me. Keep up the good work, you have a lovely site. Gramlin49.

  • Thank you for sharing these vintage photos. A real pleasure. I was born in "42." I can definitely appreciate the thought expressed in your albums title. Times have changed things in many good ways of course. But some priceless things have gone by the wayside from our pasts. Best regards. // Seattle, USA.
