You've got some wonderful wildflowers over your part of the world, Jack and it's great that you are able to capture them so well and display them like this for all the world to see. Can't help you with the names unfortunately as most of them are totally different from ours, which have just about come to the end of their spring flowering season. Like you, I've had a ball photographing them. At times it has been a battle against the wind and I have had to resort to positioning a thick piece of cardboard as a windbreak, which works up to a point! If you have the time, or the inclination, I have hundreds of West Aussie wildflowers in various albums in both my Webshots sites. You have some excellent albums and I can see it is going to take quite a while to go through them all so I have bookmarked you and will try to look at one or two albums a day at least. Best wishes, Peter

So nice to see flowers from NC. I've never seen or heard of a Table Rock Fussball. Thanks for sharing! ~ Cindy/soCal

After seeing your featured masterpiece, I couldn't avoid to take a peep on this album too. I love field flowers, and you have here a very nice collection. I guess my favorites are those lovely mountain laurel blooms, but the all album is gorgeous. I'm sorry not be helpful about their names but the ones I know, you also know. Congratulations, I'll be back, Rosa

Thanks for answering my question as to your camera brand and type--on rmlajrjr. I too enjoy photographing wildflowers--especially on days when lighting conditions make landscape shots difficult. They often turn out better with less sunlight shining upon them. I plan to convert my present Nikon SLR film camera (the lenses are interchangeable) over to digital sometime this year or next. Our son lives in NC, but I was unaware that so many waterfalls could be found there. You really have seen a bunch of them. Nice work. Jon, Idaho

Hi Jack, wildflowers anywhere are a joy to see and photograph. The flowers you saw along the trail are both beautiful and interesting because I don't know so many of them. Thanks for sharing this aspect of the trail. I'll be stopping to view more of your work. Best wishes from Keith in Sydney.

Jack - great captures, well done! Thank you for your recommendations - I returned several days ago. What wonders you have surrounding you. Had a great time. I still have more to work on, but have posted a few from the trip. Thank you, again. Best regards, Stan

These are great shots of some gorgeous wildflowers. I recognize some of them from here in Michigan - but many are new to me. Your close-ups are especially good - it is intriguing to look into the flower and view what you ordinarily could not see. Aren't cameras great? I am adicted to mine. LOL I sure have enjoyed my visit to your site and will return to view more of your albums. I see you have traveled with your camera. Take care, DeeAnne :)
