I am the lucky owner of a second New England Machine. This one has the plain base. Compare to Diane's gorgeous NE in the next album that she found last year. Identical except that Diane's is in such gorgeous condition. I hope mine will clean up nicely.

  • Hi..... I can't help but admire your two Raymond (New England) sewing machines. Congratulations on finding them. The photos are just excellent! I am trying to learn more about these machines as it is a distinct possibility that my Great, Great Grandmother used this type - having lived some 75 miles from Guelph, Ontario where they were created. I know nothing about sewing machines, so this is certainly an interesting learning process. I would never have imagined I'd be trying to educate myself on sewing machines! Thanks for the great photos. I surely enjoy them. ..........Michael
