All I can say is WOW! My daughter and I have just started our first dollhouse this week and I've checked out every book at the library and searched on the net trying to find out how to make it look like an English cottage with a thatched roof and had NO luck! Then this afternoon I hit the mother lode and veiwed Rik's work. I hope that he has a book out! My daughter is currently into faeries and she was absolutly delighted with the pictures of this cottage! It seems like it should be in the middle of an ancient forest peopled by mystical beings and never touched by human hands. It is enchanting just to see the pictures, we can only imagine what it must be like in person...

I love your work, and am about to try my hand at creative paperclay to make a stone house. Do you have an instructional book out, or any tips to share with a newbie at paperclay? Thanks much for the wonderful eye candy! Abby abbyj999@aol.com

I love your work, Rik. I confess to being a great fan, and using some of your techniques to bash the sugarplum cottage, a $20 kit from HBS. The pics are on my webshots,http://webshots.community.com/user/Lisan204 I would love to do alot of your ideas on a different spin on my own sad, neglected buttercup. If you look at my sugarplum, i used about 2 1/2 packages of paperclay to get the effect.Keep up the great work! Lisa Neault, gsolfot

We enjoyed looking at your faery cottage. We are very attuned to faeries and make quite a few houses and gardens. Our houses are not as ornate as yours, but it sure does give us some ideas. We have a faery site on Yahoo: www.FaesOfOurLives@yahoog roups.com. We'd love you to see it and give us your thoughts.
