Hello Vera! These are the REAL teddy beats, in my humble opinion :-) We have a little bear for our baby - and took the bear on vacation with us (he's even got his own album!) - but somehow to me it's only real if it has a "Knopf im Ohr"

Hallo Vera! Thank you for visiting My Corcovado and Azores albums. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Is Spring already arrived in Viena? Here we had some beautiful days but now it looks like Winter again... rain and cold. I was here seeing your teddy bear's collection. They are so funny. I have one that passed from my ex husband to my sons. They have never, really, gave it much attention, so, unlike most of their toys, it has been "spared". I kept it because, if my ex was born in 1954 this teddy bear is, more or less, the same age. Unfortunately, just a few months ago, a little mouse which entered my house, took a piece of its hand! I got really sad about it. But I keep it, anyway. It has a growler too, still functioning. I also have a panda bear which I have bought in London, in 1976. Da werden alte Erinnerungen wach, da habe ich ja glatt Mal die Karten davon gesammelt. Habe sie aber leider nicht mehr. Meine 84 jährige Tante, hier in Freilassing, hat noch so einen netten alten dunkelbraunen Steiff Baeren. Werde ihn photographieren und dir senden. One of my found memories in my childhood is this old Steiff porcuping my mom had. I actually still have it (somewhere) but his face fell apart showing the straw. I was always fascinated with the detail in the 'toy'. I like your portraits of the Steiffs here! Yes portraits! Very nicely done adding character to these classic bears.
